Hardcover, blue paper covered boards quarter bound with white cloth on spine. TI rear shows soiling and edge wear. Top edge dyed blue. No signatures or bookplates present. Small tear on preface page of less than 1 inch along fore edge. Minor foxing present, rear pastedown has chipping in paper near the hinge edges showing the webbing underneath.

Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1902. Soft cover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Softcover, original 1902 publication - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. Book appears to be missing entire exterior (which is the only reason why the condition has been graded as poor) but all internal pages are present and attached. Paper is toned due to age and there is some light foxing and spotting present. No handwriting or library markings, no signatures. Front cover is darkened and spine shows residue near the spine area showing some adhesive from the original wraps.

Washington DC: The United States Daily Corporation, 1929. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG+/Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with original glassine jacket. Jacket is warning ripped but has done a good job protecting the book cover that boards show only minor edge soiling and tanning. First edition thus. Signed by the author on the first free end page. Also included is a card from the author which states " In response to your recent request, Mr. David Lawrence sends to you, with his compliments, this copy of The Business Man and His Government". No other handwriting noted in book. Unpaginated (approx. 41 pages). No hinge cracks present, no torn or loose pages, no other handwriting noted.

Allentown, PA: J. G. Fritsch, 1910. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Small hardcover, red paper boards with black cloth spine. Small chip to upper left corner area on back board. Interior is clean with no hinge cracks were signatures, no torn pages. Title page states 11th edition, total copies, 23,000. No author or publication date (assumed 1910). See photos.

Chicago: Max Stein. Soft cover. Good-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Softcover, dime-novel is undated but was published in the early 20th century (ca. 1920) . Printed on newspaper quality paper so pages are darkened. This Monographic Series was part of the Max Stein's Stories of Adventure series of Pioneer, Cowboy, Indian, and Mexican Border Novels (as stated on the back cover). Spine chipping at top and bottom. The Treasure of Pearls was no. 24 in the series and this book starts with page 67, chapter XVI. As this was part of a series there is no title page. No handwriting noted in book. Book packed in Mylar bag.

Philadelphia, PA: The Penn Publishing Company, 1911. Hardcover. VG-. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. C. V. Dwiggins. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards decorated on front and spine. Boards are clean and bright for their age with only issues being some light edge bumping, some loss to the shine on the rear board, and wear of the white paint - mainly on spine. No signatures or bookplates present. Unpaginated. Pages are toned due to age and binding is tight, nothing torn or loose. The biggest issue in the book is that a few pages have a small check mark penned on the outside border of the text areas. These marks are only found on a few pages.

Boston, MA: John W. Luce & Company, 1916. Hardcover. Good-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Hardcover, paper covered boards in which the dust jacket is also the book exterior and is attached to the front and rear pastedowns. Title page shows 1911 publication date but copyright page states 1916. The attached but jacket shows chipping with the worst being on the spine edges and there is a large tear on the front. No handwriting or bookplates noted in book. Minor hinge pulling at page 17, which is where the play action begins. Book condition graded as good minus mainly due to the condition of the attached jacket. See photos.

Berks County, PA: Berks County Historical Society, 1926. Staple bound. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Thin softcover, staple bound pages in light brown wraps. Exterior shows mild spotting and toning along with edge and corner bumps/small tears. Internal binding is good and pages are secure. Previous owners name in town written on front and page. Book has been placed in a protective mylar bag.

Tokyo: Maruzen Company Ltd., 1936. 1st Edition . Soft cover. VG-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Softcover, stiff wrap boards with paper label on front, embossed logo on rear. Bookstore contains the original glassine cover which is tattered along edges with numerous tears and chips. Paper cover underneath is clean except for edges on all sides. Edges also show bumps. Interior binding is good, no hinge issues. Half title page (which is also the first interior page) as the owners name and note: "Hazel Jones, Hawaii 1941. Dec. - terrible war! O my! ". No other handwriting found in book. More pastedown still contains the Japan Tourist Bureau label and front page states this is part of the Tourist Library # 15. Front glassine frontispiece sheet is present but not attached.

Softcover, original 1905 publication with original wraps - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. Front and rear cover contains the name stamp of F. C. Schrader. Frank Charles Schrader (1860-1944) of Harvard and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) was a well-known and respected American geologist, mineralogist, and entomologist, and author. He was known throughout the west as the prospector's friend and was also one of the first federal geologists to explore Alaska. Exterior wraps are in poor shape with the front cover being heavily soiled and literally hanging on by a single thread. Spine shows heavy chipping with sections missing. Front cover is so frail it should be considered as detached since it will likely break free very easily unless it's reinforced. Exterior shows toning along with some light staining and soiling, larger stain is present along spine edge on rear cover. Edges and corner show bumps and the covers at the top of the spine shows a tear of about 1 inch. Internal binding is good pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting/foxing present. Corner bumps that were present on the exterior are present on the interior pages as well, page 6 contains a large foldout map which is attached and in good shape.

New York / Cincinnati: The Methodist Book Concern, 1922. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, mustard yellow boards with black text on front and spine exterior shows soiling and edge/corner bumps, rear board has two cuts the cloth along the bottom edge into pinholes near the lower right spine area. Internal binding is good and text pages are secure. No hinge issues, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings present. Pages are toned due to age spotting/foxing is present, though the worst seems to be at the end pages. Book is been placed in an acid-free archival bag for protection.

Softcover, original 1920 publication in original wraps - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. Exterior shows toning and spotting along with soiling and smudges. Exterior wrap is splitting along the top and bottom spine edges with the lower section being the worst of several inches (up to the bottom staple). The internal binding is good and text pages are secure. Paper is toned due to age and some spotting and foxing is present. No signatures or bookplates, no handwriting, no library markings. This is a thin book where the first page of the article is numbered 105 and the last page is numbered 148 (43 pages total).

New York: Simon and Schuster, 1952. Soft cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Softcover, outdoor activities book published by the Ford Motor Company. Exterior shows edge and corner wear an increasing, larger crease on back corner. Automotive dealer stamp on back showing it was handed out by the Arlington Motor Company out of Arlington Virginia. Interior binding is good though some minor foxing is present. No handwriting, no torn or loose pages.

Washington DC: Armed Forces Special Weapons Project, 1956. Soft cover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Softcover. Unclassified document mainly for organization, format for draft manuscripts, illustrations and style used for writing official documents for operations and experiments. Pages appear to be mimeographs of typed documents. This book does not go into any specifics of military operations but instead is a guide for preparing a military report. Original owner's name penciled on front cover along with a small pen mark. See photos.

Detroit, MI: The Radio League of the Little Flower, 1931. Soft cover. Good+. See photos for condition details. Tall softcover. Contains a series of sermons broadcast by Rev. Chas. E. Coughlin from the Shrine of the Little Flower, October, 1930 - February, 1931. Ivory boards with design on front, staple bound the period of that no signatures or bookplates present but there are perhaps a dozen or so pages that have the pencil lines outside the text area to mark a paragraph or sentence. No torn or loose pages. Book was placed in a clear archival storage bag after photos were taken.

London: Methuen and Co., 1952. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Norman E. Hickin. Hardcover, no dust jacket. First edition thus with single date on the copyright page. Illustrated end pages. No signatures or bookplates though one of the front end pages shows were a store price was penciled in the corner and then erased. End pages show some toning because of the paper reacting with the dust jacket. A nice clean copy with only some minor foxing, toning and fade on the exterior. DJ has price sticker in corner. Boards show quite a bit of spotting and soiling. Edges and corners scuffed and worn. Exterior page edges darkened. Dark brown end pages in front and rear. Pages are toned due to age has some light dampstain noted along the top edges. Backside of first end page shows owner signature and other data written in pencil. Second end page appears to be missing. All other pages present including several foldout illustrations. Good reading copy.
