Hamburg: Mildred Thompson, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/fair. Hardcover, illustrated by the author. Thompson was best known as an American abstract expressionist painter. She spent much of her adult life abroad but returned to the U.S. as artist in residence at Howard University. This was the only children's book she produced. Some toning to the paper covered boards but still a very good copy with clean contents and solid binding in a fair dust jacket (heavy soiling and chipping). Very rare.

London: H. Hills, ND. No Statement of Edition. Hardcover. Very good. 12mo, 96 pp. Offsetting to the endpapers, else a very good copy with clean text. Bound in decorative papercovered boards and blue cloth backed spine.

New York: Little Simon, Simon & Schuster, 2008. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Fine. 1/250 numbered copies (#19) SIGNED by Sabuda. The book and all pop-ups are fine. With matching green cloth slipcase and original cardboard shipping box. Shipping box is a bit worn but otherwise this is as new.

Wilmington: George N. Hyatt, 1960. Autographed De Luxe Edition. Hardcover. Fine. 1/200 numbered copies (this being # 6) SIGNED by all 7 contributors on the limitation page. A couple tiny marks on the spine, else a tight fine copy with clen contents in a very good publisher's slipcase (some light wear to the edges). Brown leather backed spine, cloth covers, no dust jacket as issued. A nicely produced book.

New York: John Szoke Graphics, Inc., 1992. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine. Hardcover, illustrated, 192 pp. Limited edition of an unspecified number. With signed and numbered (#697/999) Rizzi print laid in. A fine copy in lavender cloth and matching publisher slipcase. No dust jacket as issued. A very lovely production.

New York: Redfield, 1853. First Edition. Hardcover. good. Hardcover, 386 pp. plus ads. Front hinge starting, split to front gutter, spine sunned, still a good presentable copy with clean text. Brown cloth, no dust jacket.

Somerville: Candlewick Press, 2010. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Fine. 1/225 copies (#67) SIGNED by both Reinhart and Sabuda with slipcase. New copy still in publisher's shrink wrap which has never been opened. The publisher's shipping box is present and very good plus with a few nicks and a small inked notation.

Wilmington: George N. Hyatt, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine. Hardcover, limited 1/200 Numbered copies (this being #5). SIGNED by all 7 contributors including the photographer, Bluford W. Muir. Additionally, the book is INSCRIBED and signed by Samuel Dyke (one of the contributors) to his son in the year of publication. Two pages tanned because of inserted newspaper article, still a tight near fine copy with clean contents in publisher's slipcase (slipcase is good only, with some sunning to the foredges, fading to the spine and what appears to be some insect damage to the bottom of the spine). A handsome production and scarce.

Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 2002. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. First printings, pictorial hardcovers matching dust jacket design, 3 volumes. All three books are SIGNED by Alan Lee, one of the best known illustrators of Tolkien's books. He also was one of the lead concept artists on Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films. All three books are fine in fine unflawed dust jackets which are now protected in archival covers, No remainder marks. Also included is a nice poster which celebrated the event at which Lee appeared to sign these books in Atlanta, Georgia in 2004.

London: William Heinemann, 1922. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Very good. 1/275 numbered copies of which the first 250 were SIGNED and sold in the United Kingdom. The last 25 copies were SIGNED and for presentation. This is one of the presentation copies and is number 252. Galsworthy has SIGNED it on the limitation page and has additionally signed and inscribed on Nov. 16, 1922 on the front endpaper. Some wear to the head of the spine and the top board eges else a very good copy with clean text and sound binding. Bound in green leather. No dustjacket.

SIGNED on the front endpaper by Mark Alarei, Tate Armstrong, Gene Banks, Vic Bubas, Gordon Carver, Harry Councilor, Johnny Dawkins, Randy Denton, Bo Farley, Bill Foster, Mike Gminski, Dick Groat, Ed Koffenberger, Mike Krzyzewski, Mike Lewis, Jack Marin, Neill McGeachy, Bill Mock, Jeff Mullins, Jim Sparnarkel, Steve Vacendak, Bob Verga and Bill Werber. Also SIGNED by Brill on the title page. A fine copy with clean contents and tight binding. No visible wear. No dust jacket as issued.

Pages are tanned as usual, else a tight fine copy in a fine bright dust jacket which is now protected in an archival cover. A lovely copy which appears to be unread.

Boston: Bruce Humphries Inc., 1931. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/fair. hardcover, INSCRIBED and signed by Cochran on 7-1-33 on the front endpaper. Some wear to the heel of the spine with some minor reduction to the cloth, still a solid very good copy with clean text and tight binding in only a fair dust jacket (chip at head of spine, rear panel is being affixed to the spine with one tape mend on the verso, edge worn with shallow chips and tears). Scarce book especially in jacket and signed.

Altadena:: Twin Palms Publishers, 1988. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/near fine. Hardcover, illustrated with b/w photos by Ritts. INSCRIBED and signed by Ritts and dated in the year of publication on the title page. A fine copy in a near fine dust jacket (just a touch of wear to the top of the front panel and the head of the spine). A very nice copy now protected in mylar.

Limited, 2 volumes, 1/35 numbered copies (# 31) printed on Japanese Vellum and SIGNED by Mosher in Volume I on the limitation page. A fine set with original paper dust jackets which are badly worn. Scarce, especially in this condition.

Inconspicuous ink mark to front cover, minor wear to edges of covers, short closed tear at base of spine, else a near fine copy in oversized pictorial wrappers.

NP: Jonathan Williams, 1958. Paperback. Very good. SIGNED by Williams on the title page. One page poem on a sheet that has been folded twice and stitched into plain brown wraps. Edge wear to bottom of rear panel with one closed tear and small chip, still very good. Scarce.

Atlanta: Ed Thilenius and Jim Koger / Foote & Davies, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good +. First Printing, hardcover. INSCRIBED and signed on the front endpaper by Thilenius and Koger, the authors, and Wally Butts, the legendary Georgia coach. Also SIGNED by Fran Tarkenton, Butts last great quaterback at UGA (both left the school in 1960) who is now a member of the NFL Hall of Fame. The Inscribee has signed his name inside front cover, else this is a lightly used near fine copy with clean text and tight binding in a very good plus dust jacket which is bright and clean but with the sunning to the spine which seems to plague this title. Now protected in an archival cover.

New York: Beech Tree Books / William Morrow,, 1985. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. SIGNED by Powers on a book plate affixed to a page that has been neatly tipped in opposite the frontis. Since this author refuses to sign any of his books personally, this is as close as it gets to owning a signed copy. Gift inscription inside front cover underneath jacket flap, some light wear to the board edges and a bump to the head of the spine, else a tight lightly used near fine copy in a very good dust jacket (edge worn with several short closed tears, shallow chipping to spinal extremities). A nice copy of the author's first book.
