The whole illustrated with charts, etc. [10] 264p., 4 maps (3 folded), 4 plates (2 folded). Quarto format. NIcely rebacked mottled brown calf. Bit of offsetting from the frontispiece and the breadfruit plate. Four-inch missing tear in the Otaheie map, otherwise only a few minor tears on the other maps. First edition of the original and full account of the voyage and the mutiny against Lieutenant William Bligh (1754-1817).

Im Auftrage des Auswärtigen Amtes herausgegeben von Johannes Lepsius, et al. 1924-1927. 40 volumes in 54 complete, uniformly bound in the original stiff, two-colored printed boards (lightly chipped), all hinges solid and o/w very clean set. A former set owned by the European historian Raymond J. Sontag and eventually donated to the College of Holy Names in Oakland. Each volume has a cancelled bookplate of the College inside the front cover, a former card pocket inside the rear cover, a small college blindstamp on the upper right corner of the t.p., and the stamped name of Sontag also in that upper right corner. Each volume with a two-inch blackened band on the lower spine, where a call number was earlier affixed. There are fourteen double volumes in the set, as published. André. 1856-1878. 28 volumes complete, thick quarto format, uniform burgundy cloth with gilt spine lettering, externally clean with just a couple of former ex-libris stamps in each volume. Text is clean throughout the set. Volumes 5-26 edited by Charles Berton, and the two final volumes of the essential indices completed by A. T. Duval. Complete works in Latin of this major Spanish Jesuit scholastical philosopher and theologian (1548-1617), bridging philosophical thought from the Renaissance into the early Baroque era.

Mainz: Verlag der Gutenberg-Gesellschaft. Total of 46 volumes in the original half-cloth with stiff boards (full-cloth bindings from 1990 onward), b/w illus., quarto format. The 1927 volume has a small one-inch cloth tear at head of the spine; volumes for 1976 and 2008 in the original dj. London: Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies. Vols. 24 (1904) through 103 (1983). A very lengthy run of this important journal in Greek antiquity. Quarto format, imprint varies. Vols. 24-65 are bound in various colors of cloth, while vols. 66-103 are in the original stiff wrappers. Some of the bound volumes include 2-3 years of the journal bound together. Also included are three volumes of the bound indices covering Vols. 9-16, 17-42, and 43-60. Major 80-year run of this journal. Extra shipping will apply to this large set.

Printed by Jakob Hegner of Hellerau; the etchings were printed by Heinrich Wetteroth in Munich, under the supervision of the artist. ONE OF 25 COPIES WITH THE SEPARATE CASE OF THE TWENTY-ONE ORIGINAL ETCHINGS, EACH SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. The separate etchings are in a yellow custom-made clamshell case with label on the front cover. All uniformly bound in the original blue cloth, tight hinges, thick quarto format. This is a recently de-accessioned set with former stamps, but structurally very sound and internally completely clean. The ex-libris factors: white call number label on the lower spine; former library stamps inside the front and rear covers, on the top-edge and fore-edge; card pocket and bar-code label inside the rear cover; and cancel stamp on the titlepage.
