Libraries. Lord Somers's Tracts complete in sixteen volumes. Issued beginning in 1748 through 1751 this collection of political tracts and essays is extremely scarce in any condition. This set is uniformly rebound in brown leather with gilt decorations and raised band spines. There are at least 3 engraved original portraits by G. Kneller. The first four volumes are probably the scarcest.

BINDING FRENCH LITERATURE 3 volumes brown morocco gilt tooled backs sides with a gilt triple fillet border with a fleur de lis at each corner gilt dentelle borders inside gilt edges by Matthews. (Plate 44 Vol. II p. 175 is lacking). One of 250 copies on wove paper. Two of the plates are signed by the engraver Houat and one by Foex from the library of Robert Hoe with bookplate. Houat signatures on pages 100 and 220 of Vol. II; Foex signature on page 24 of Vol. III.

Little, Brown. First Edition. Hardcover. USED Very Good/Fair Jacket. Stated first edition. Text clean, binding sound. Some thumbing to all edges; top edge also has some brown spots. Jacket not clipped, and now in a protective sleeve; does hgave some outer edgewear, including some small chips and tears. The back of the jacket shows some water damage, and the jacket is a little wrinkled. The book itself does not appear to be water-damaged; there is some discoloration at the top of the head of the spine, but that perfectly matches a chip at the head of the spine of the jacket.

SWEETWATER EDITIONS. Hardcover. USED Very Good. Extra illustrated edition limited to 300 copies includes a matted signed rubbing. Beautifully designed this work displays examples of early new england grave marker rubbings printed on laid paper along with photographic images of the stone and a textual description of each. The book includes a glossary bibliography and maps of the places visited. The entire production is housed in a custom cloth tray case. Book and print are in fine condition tray case has a bit of sun fading to one edge but is otherwise in near fine condition. A very scarce edition.

All clean (besides a dot of ink on the outer page edges of Volume 11; it looks like the same ink that was used to cover the top edge). All tight except for Volume 2, which opens naturally to pages 304-305. The jackets of Volumes 2, 5, and 7 have faded spines; the rest all remain bright. No jackets are clipped ('The Lessons of History' is the only one with a price on the flap anyway). Some jackets have edgewear, the worst being Volume 10, with a tear on the front having been repaired with scotch tape. Billiard World Pub. Hardcover. USED Very Good/Near-Fine Jacket. Clean and tight, this convenient book is printed in English, Spanish and Korean. Red faux leather with gilt text. There is a 'III' on the spine, but no other indication that this would be a Volume 3, so that is probably just an allusion to the number-of-cushion billiards this book is talking about.

Previous owner's ex-libris stamp, and name in ballpoint, on FEP. Third printing.

Pages clean and binding tight -- many pages uncut, actually. Jacket not price-clipped, but it does have rubbing to the spine and mild discoloration to the edges. Brodarted.
