London: Trigram Press, 1967. Paperback. 1st edition. No 6 of 100. An edition of six prints printed silkscreen and letterpress in eight colours on silver boards. Haiku by Asa Benveniste and Jack Hirschman. Fine.

Children's High Level Group, 2008. First printing of this edition. Hardcover. As New. First printing of this special Collector's Edition published exclusively for Amazon. The item, still in its Amazon mailing box, remains sealed in the original clear cellophane wrapping - it has never been opened. Brown leather binding, spine with raised bands, silver-coloured metal corners, centre metal skull vignette and metal clasp. Ribbon marker. Protected in a maroon velvet string-top bag, bearing the embroidered signature of J. K. Rowling in gilt thread, housed in a book-shaped clam shell case, blocked in blind on the upper and lower boards, and on the spine in gilt. The case is shaped inside with a recessed compartment to fit the book in its velvet bag. Also inside in their own printed envelope are ten 7 by 10 inch Collector's Edition prints which slip into a special flap in the upper board. A new copy, still in the original white slipcase cover marked "This side up".

New York: Braziller, 1962. First edition. Hardcover. 1st edition. Text and notes by Jean Leymarie.. Translated from the French by Elaine Desautels. 4to (335 x 245mm). Pp 210. Red cloth boards stamped in gilt on the spine and upper panel. There are two original lithographs by Mark Chagall bound in to the prelims of the book. For each of the twelve stained-glass windows there are a sketch and preparatory drawing printed monochrome and then a colour sketch, a small model, a final model, the finished window and a detail of the window all reproduced in colour and printed in up to 21 colours. There is a touch of spotting to the free endpapers. There are three worm holes in the front board and a couple in the joint at the back (all now treated). Otherwise the cloth is clean and unmarked as are the contents. The binding is tight and the dust-jacket shows one small nick at the top edge and 5 small holes caused by the bookworms. New York: Sheridan House, 1940. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good +. First printing. Black cloth boards stamped in white on the spine. A clean, unmarked copy in a tight binding and unclipped dust jacket. The protected dust jacket is rubbed at the extremities and showing some loss at the head of the spine. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper: To John J. Beecher the Suffolk County financier! Jerome Odlum.

London: Michael Joseph, 1981. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. First impression. 8vo. Pp 203. Black cloth boards stamped in silver on the spine. A clean, unmarked and tightly bound copy in an unclipped dust jacket. Letter from the publisher to the bookseller requesting return of all copies for legal reasons laid-in. The book is rare because onl a few copies remain in circulation as it was withdrawn and pulped by the publishers through fear of libel action.

London: Ward, Lock, 1902. First edition. Hardcover. near Very Good. Original green cloth boards stamped in gilt on the spine and upper panel. With illustrations - a tissue-protected frontis and one illus facing page 145. Contents clean and tightly bound without dust-jacket. A touch of spotting to the front and end matter and the rear pastedown has pencilled mathematical notations written on it. Huan Mee was the pseudonym of the brothers Walter E. Mansfield (1870-1916) and Charles H. Mansfield (1864-1930).

Woodbridge: Boydell Press, 1985. First printing of this edition. Hardcover. Near fine. A 2-volume facsimile limited edition reprint of the original edition illustrated by Aubrey Beardsley and published in 1893. Set number 68 of an edition limited to 500 copies. Brown buckram boards stamped in gilt with a floral art nouveau design. Volume I contains a frontispiece and eleven full-page plates by Beardsley and Volume II a frontispiece and seven full-page plates. There are also innumerable decorations by Beardsley throughout the two volumes. Volume I, pp lxiv + 455, contains a new Preface by Derek Brewer, a List of Illustrations, a Note on the Text used, a Preface, Caxton's Preface (to the edition of 1485), Caxtons Table or Rubrysshe of Contents and Books I to IX. Volume II, pp lxv-xc + 458-990, contains a List of Illustrations, a Table or Rubrysshe and Books X to XXI plus a Glossary. Printed bookmark laid in which states: As a result of a disagreement between the publishers and one of the authors over the design of this book, the publishers have decided not to publish it. Before this decision was reached 120 copies were bound, which are being distributed to friends of Trigram Press.

Original claret cloth boards decoratively stamped in gilt and blind on the spine and upper panel and blind stamped on the lower. All vols have been re-backed with the original spines laid on to new spines + new endpapers. AEG. Some wear to cloth at extremities and original spines. Some foxing particularly the prelims. Some plate tissue guards damaged. A very nice set.

Spines are a little rubbed and worn at the heads and the cloth generally a little rubbed at the extremities. Top edges gilt. Overall a very nice set. Volume 10 comprises a Glossary. A considerable number of pages throughout the set remain unopened.

Top corner of pp 43/44 has a repaired tear. A clean, unmarked and tightly bound copy without dust jacket. The book is reputed to have provided the inspiration for Tolkien's Hobbits.

Bruxelles: Le Creuset, 1986. First printing of this edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. Text by Edgar Allan Poe translated into French by Charles Baudelaire with original lithographs by Anne Velghe. Jésus quarto solander box (407 x 302mm) velour-covered and stamped in gilt on the spine and upper panel. The unbound 4pp sections are loosely held in a vellum wrapper. The illustrations by Anne Velghe are printed directly from the lithographic stone. The edition was limited to 360 numbered copies of which nos. 151-350 are "bound" in red velour solander boxes. This is number 215 which, in addition to being signed by the artist has been personalised with the written message: "à Monsieur Olich de Foer et son èpouse, en souvenir de leur amitie pour mon père, Anne Velghe." Wire-stabbed 12pp descriptive leaflet in light card folder laid-in together with a 4pp folded leaflet describing Les Editions Le Creuset.
