Very Good 1714, Hamburg Germany. The first ever printing of this seminal classic. The first time that Bible stories were printed specifically for children. Thus it was somewhat "cleansed" before publication. One source I found says that the incest and murder committed by David were altered, among other things. It is four inches by seven inches, and includes 104 plates from engravings, 52 in the Old Testament, and 52 in the New Testament. There are 400 pages of text, plus the eight page introduction. Also, all the plates are on unnumbered pages, for a total of 512 printed pages. The book is in its original calves leather boards and spine, which are still attached but fragile. All pages, including all front and rear endpapers, are present. The last two plates have been repaired at the edges, and several pages inside have edge tears or stains, but they are minimal. Beautiful 3/4 leather and marbled boards. 16 1/2 inches by 11 inches. Interior is clean and unmarked. All charts are complete and intact. Leather is rubbed around the edges but still in great shape. Gilt lettering on front board and spine is clear and bright. Boards and spine are straight and tight.

1959, Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (Polish Musical Publishing House), Krakow Poland. Title may be translated as "Fairy Music" or "Enchanted Music. " A beautiful tale, in Polish, of the music of nature, crickets, trees, owls, frogs and more, as an outdoor "orkiestra. " Wonderful Batik style illustrations throughout by Witold Skulicz. Published years before the author wrote two outstanding biographies of Polish composers Jan Ignace Paderewski and Henryk Wieniawski. Book is straight and secure, wear to spine with rubbing all around. Interior is clean and unmarked. A rare treasure, the only copy on the internet! Truly one of a kind.

1922, The Page Company, Boston MA. First Edition, First Printing. "First Impression, November, 1922" stated on copyright page. "A Romance of Byzantine Constantinople" set in the year 969. Beautiful black and white decorations throughout and four gorgeous full-page, color plates, all by Eric Pape. Red cloth boards and spine are straight and tight, bumped and lightly rubbed at the corners. Gilt decorations clear and intact. There is a former owner inscription in pencil on the decorated front free endpaper. Interior pages are clean and unmarked. Inscribed "Yours very Sincerely" and signed by the author opposite the half title page. A very rare book, with a rare author signature.

1955, Comet Press, NY, VG+/VG, 1st. Boards are straight and tight with very light wear to edges. Interior is clean and unmarked with light foxing to front endpaper. Dust Jacket is Unclipped with a small closed tear and light chipping. Illustrated by Barbara Koski. A very nice copy of extremely hard to find book, inscribed by author and signed, very scarce.

1946, Viking Press, NY, 1st, NF/NF, inscribed and signed as a birthday gift by Gordon, beautiful illustrations by Rafaello Busoni, very scarce in DJ, impossible to locate signed! book is near fine but for age darkening, DJ is unclipped and also near fine but for darkening and rubs at the edges, Gypsy, Travellers, Fiction.

1955, Swedenborg Publishing, Brooklyn, 1st , inscribed and signed by the author to Harold Larsen, lovely little book explains that ". if heaven does not begin in the human heart and mind right here on this plane of existence, it never will. " DJ is unclipped and has light wear and chipping to the spine ends and corners, DJ also has stains on the back, some of which have transfered to the rear board but are very light, Religion, Emanuel Swedenborg Society, Christain, Church, Christianity, Spirituality.

C. 1910, New-Church Press, NY, NF/NF, 1st thus, very scarce in dj, especially in this condition, DJ is very heavy paper with tiny chips at corners and spine top and one closed tear on back panel, a couple of small stains also, book has very minor darkening near hinge on endpapers, else this amazing little book is in fine condition, blurb on cover of dj by Helen Keller: "I love your little book with the beautiful title. I feel on every page the spirit of Swedenborg's precious words 'All religion has relation to life, and the life of religion is to do good. ' There is no end to the fascination of this book. " She made arrangements to have it put into Braille, Religion, Philosophy.

It is heavily rubbed and scuffed all over, Unclipped and complete but chipped and creased all around the edges. Still an amazing specimen with beautiful, though a little beat up, cover art.
