A very good copy of Cisneros's very first "book", this chapbook contains 8 poems, stapled in wraps, with a photograph of children by "Aekou" on the front cover. Signed simply "Sandra Cisneros" on first leaf; signed in Aspen, Colorado, April 2016. Clean, uncreased, a gem. Laid in, photo and article about Cisneros reading in Aspen in April 2016.

Signed "All best wishes and many thanks, Jack Story, January 1951, London" on first leaf, this quite rare signed hardcover is the 1950 first American editioin by Macmillan. No dustjacket. 121 pages, gray cloth boards with green cover sketch and spine titles. Slightly shelfworn corners and edges, one quarter-inch light soil mark on front board. Aside from Story's inscription, textblock is clean, unmarked, uncreased. Illustrated by George Maas. Scarce.

Brookdale Press, 1939. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/good. From a limited edition of 150 copies, "printed by lithography, hand colored, and signed by the artist." This is copy 144, signed "Richard Floethe" on the colophon page. Hardcover in paper-covered boards, unnumbered pages, no text, a story in 28 pictures. Boards and endpapers are age-soiled, with one slight tear in midspine. Text block reasonably clean. In a worn slipcase, top edge tear. A very charming tale about an artist on summer holiday, and a summer romance. Richard Floethe studied with Klee and Kandinsky at the Bauhaus, taught at the Ringling School of Art and Cooper Union, and was renowned as a graphic artist and book illustrator. During his lifetime he illustrated nearly 100 books, many written by his wife, Louise Lee Floethe.

Bruce Weber, 1994. 1st Edition. Hardcover. As new. Signed by Bruce Weber on title page and inscribed simply "to Laura," this small hardcover is pristine and fresh. Black and white and some color photographs by this noted artist, featuring landscapes and people in and around his Montana ranch. Designed by John Cheim. Pictorial boards, about 70 pages, short essay by Weber introduces the volume, no dustjacket, as issued. A gem.

A nice set, featuring wonderful historic photos of early Marble, Colorado, including the quarry, the railroad, the valley.

Dutton, 1988. Hardcover. Very good/good. A lovely set of Winnie the Pooh, The House at Pooh Corner, When We Were Very Young, Now We Are Six. Four hardcover volumes of the 1943 printing of Dutton's "new uniform edition," three with unclipped, quite good dustjackets, with some fading, chipping, one piece of tape. WINNIE THE POOH lacks jacket. Clean square boards, all volumes have child's name pencilled on endpaper and dustjacket flap, otherwise very clean endpapers and text blocks. Some pages uncut. No slipcase. A nice vintage set for those who love the old Pooh, the real Pooh.

FIrst American edition, this 1930 hardcover is solid and intact, with beige/green cloth-covered boards and yellowing text block that shows slight soil on a few pages. Printed by Brewer and Warren Inc., New York. Shelfwear to bottom edge, corners rubbed, spine soiled and fraying top and bottom, cloth loosening at spine. Pencil marks at rear endpaper, and two green ink marks at front endpaper. Wonderful creepy front cover illustration!

Signed and inscribed by Uris on first leaf, this hardcover early printing features a blue topstain, map endpapers, in a complete dustjacket, with edgewear, that presents well in mylar. Fore edge shows staining (coffee splash?) that has splashed onto lower outer page margin on a few dozen pages. Boards good, text block sound: a solid signed copy.

A lovely memoir and a tribute to the author's father, Yab Ugyen Dorji. In a very good dustjacket covered in mylar. Photos on request. Still, this set shows very little use and features clean square blue cloth boards, red topstain, fresh unworn text block, and very good dustjackets protected in mylar.
