Haines Brothers 1883. Octavo. Book is in good condition. Text is clean and unmarked. Pages are lightly toned including illustration plates which show foxing. Boards are sturdy with shelf and edge wear. Bindings are weakening with separation showing at title page and back. Presentation pasted down to prior owner on front paste down. No DJ.

Easton Press 2011. Folio - 18" x 11.25" x 1.625" No.361 of 400 Deluxe Limited Edition with Certificate of Authenticity. English and Latin. Leather bound with gilt lettering and decoration, 8 banded spine. Illustrations are lithographs of those in the 1732 edition. Volume II is like new. Volume I is Near Fine due to a small scar at upper right front corner and faint line through "...hos" in the title on the front cover.

The Grolier Society 1915-20. Volumes I thru XVI. Dark brown covers with gilt borders on front, spine lettering and fore edges. Texts are clean and unmarked. Boards and bindings are sturdy. Shelf and edge wear to boards. Light foxing on some fore edges. Spines show substantial wear. Volume XVI is lighter in color than the first volume above about WWII and was published in 1920.

Alta Publications 1934. Dark red boards with interior 2-ring binder. Orange lettering on front and spine. Boards are sturdy with light shelfwear. Foxing and sunning on front and back endpages. Interior is clean and unmarked - pages have the light tan color of age. 299 p.

Lawyer's Co-operative 3D 13 volumes 1978 Plus General Index 1978 and Supplement 1986. Good condition. Light foxing on some pages. Light shelf wear.

D. Appleton, New York. Folio. Brown leather, raised boards , gilt edges. Date of publication not shown, likely 1880's. Both volumes are in good condition. Text and plates are clean and unmarked. Boards and bindings are strong. Covers show shelf and edge wear, especially at spines. See photos.

J. B. Lippincott 1864-5. All five volumes are in fair condition. Texts are clean and unmarked. Boards are strong except the front board for volume 5 is detached. The bindings are okay. All volumes show edge wear especially at corners and head and foot of spine. The corner of volume 4 is separated from the spine at the foot for two inches. The covers show small stains. No DJ as issued.

Lawyer's Co-Operative Publishing 1974 - 1979 2D 1979 Supplement. 23 volumes. Good condition. Light shelf wear.

24 Volumes. 1885-1888. J.P. Lippincott Company. Boards are marbled with tan corners and along spine side. Spine is tan with 5 segments; dark red and black titles. Inside boards, endpages and foredges also marbled. Boards show substantial edgewear. Spines are worn - four of the volumes have chips out and are partially detahched on one side. Hinges intact but fragile. pages are tanned with nage, no foxing, a couple of volumes have foredge stains. Text is clean and unmarked.

Harper and Brothers circa 1915. All ten volumes are in fair condition with dark green cloth boards with decorative gilt spines. Texts are clean and unmarked. Boards are sturdy. Bindings in Volumes II and IV are weakening and Volume I shows slight separation. Covers show some stains and fading. Edge wear is primarily at spines. Gilt lettering and decoration on spines is faded.

Simon and Schuster 1954-1975. Entire 11 volume set is in very good condition. Text is clean and unmarked. Boards and bindings are strong with very light edge wear. DJs have edge wear with minor chips and tears. Some DJs show fading and light shelf wear. Volume 2 is price clipped. Volume 7 has small black dots on the foredge.

Newsweek/Mondadori 1960's, 1970's. All 25 volumes are like new. "National Museum Tokyo" has a small tear at the top of the spine. Previous owner's name plate is on the front paste down in some copies. Send request for list of titles.

Scribner's 1948-1952. First edition. "A" on copy right page. Overall good condition. Boards are sturdy showing moderate shelf and edge wear. Gilt lettering is bright. Text is clean with light underlining in most volumes. Volume 2 back hinge is detached at bottom, all other hinges are intact, some fragile. Volumes 1 & 2 and Volumes 3 & 4 are slip cased together in two volume slip cases. Volumes 5 & 6 have individual slip cases. All slip cases show considerable shelf and edge wear and soiling. Case for Volumes 1 & 2 is detached at top.

"Privately Printed for Members of the University Alliance" 1909. 12 Vols. Copy 170 of 1000. Dark red boards with gilt symbols and lettering front boards and spines. Text clean and unmarked. Boards are sturdy, showing light shelf and edgewear, some rubbing to back boards. Deckle edges browned.

Published by Belford, Clarke & Co. between 1875 and 1892. Books are marbled with tan corners and spines. Titles on spine in black. Endpages marbled. Pages are tanned with age, but little foxing; text is clean and unmarked. Boards are scuffed and worn. A handsome set for library or study.

Gebbie & Barrie 1875. Quarto. Book is in good condition. Text is clean and unmarked with some light foxing on some plates. Boards show shelf and edge wear with several deep scrapes. Light binding separation at title page, otherwise okay. Spine lettering and decoration are good.

Time-Life Books 1960's, 1970's, 1980's. Twenty volume set in very good condition. Texts are clean and unmarked. Boards and bindings are strong. No DJs Send request for list of titles.
