Dustjacket is browned and has some soil and edgewear, including chipping at the spine head and a small hole on the spine piece. Lxvii + 416 pages + Appendices (The Bengali Originals).

Front cover has a small piece of masking tape in upper corner with ""1936"" written on it as well as ""1936"" written again, twice, in ball point elsewhere on the front cover (see pics, though the writing is not particularly noticeable). A little bit of curl/creasing to the corners. Back cover has some creasing across lower corner. Interior is clean, bright, and unmarked. 47 pages.

Bookplate and card pocket are glued inside front and rear covers, covering up Analecta Gregoriana series info. Has some age tanning and light soil. Binding is sound. Text is clean and unmarked. Very usable. 468 pages.

Bogota: Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 1948. First. SOFTCOVER. Good+. 1948 paperback. First Edition. Previous owner's name inside, and small date stamp. Pages of text are browned but unmarked. Cover is heavily edgeworn, browned, and has spots of soil as well as some scotch tape that held a label across the spine. Both front and rear covers are starting to tear at the joints with the spine but are still well attached. Bottom forecorner of book is moderately bumped. 271 pages. Laid in are two items: 1.) three typed pages with a Salinas poem (""Timeless Presence"") translated by Edith Helman and Norma Farber, with a handwritten note to that effect, and 2.) a professionally printed single sheet with a Salinas poem (""Saint out of Wood"") also translated by Helman and Farber and folded in two. The latter has the feel of a tribute or funeral program item and is inscribed by Edith and numbered 10/200. Collectible.
