London: Jonathan Cape, 1965. First. Hardcover . Used - near fine/Near fine. First UK Edition, first state with golden gun embossed in gilt on front board, ‘18s’ on DJ flap. Copies with the embossed gun are considered the rarest of Fleming titles, including limited editions.  Due to production costs, and early in the production run, copies were produced without the golden gun.  Also, due to the publisher wishing the release date of the book to be on the same date around the English speaking world, the earliest copies were shipped to faraway countries such as New Zealand, Australia, etc. Near very good in Near Fine DJ. Black cloth boards with light spotting, golden gun spotted but complete and bright, text block edges foxed. ‘30c’ in red ink on front free endpaper. Slightly musty. Dust jacket has faint toning to top edges and light foxing to the DJ verso. In a custom quarter leather clamshell box.

London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1886. First. Softcover . Used - very good/No Jacket. Octavo, original buff wrappers printed in red and blue. The '5' in 1885 on the cover copyright date has been changed by the publisher to '6' as the publisher held back its issue for the new year due to the glut of books being offered during the 1885 holiday season. One page of publisher’s advertisements at rear, with chip to top corner. Stationer’s embossed stamps to rear wrapper: “W.H. Smith & Son, London.” Housed in a custom clamshell box. This issue in wrappers preceded the copies bound in cloth. Joints mended, wrappers lightly foxed and smudged, corner bumped, slightly musty. Overall a very good copy of a fragile book.

Doubleday, January 1976. First Edition stated. Hardcover . Used - fine/Near fine. “First Edition” stated. Signed by author on title page. Fine with faint remainder spray on bottom edge of text block, in Near Fine, unclipped dust jacket with trivial shelf wear and a bit of toning to verso.

New Haven, CT: Howe & Spalding, 1823. Hardcover . Used - very good/No Jacket. 8vo. Pale blue paper covered boards spotted and stained with orange (painted?) spine. White paper title on spine. Rebound as evidenced by spine and tasteful new pastedown and endpapers, though boards probably original. Deckled edges. Lectures to a young man on right action (virtue), the importance of the study of words (philology) and their proper use, as well as a history of the Republic. A very clean example, albeit rebacked.

Basic Books, November 1988. First. Hardcover . Used - fine/Near fine. First Edition with “1” in the number line. Inscribed by Crick to UCSD colleague Sanford (Sandy) Lakhoff and dated in the year of publication. Two unobtrusive ink marks in margins of pages 8 and 67. Near Fine in Near Fine unclipped dust jacket ($16.95) with sunned spine (black lettering remains bold). Now protected in removable mylar.

New York: J.H. Colton, Publisher, 1864. Hardcover . Used - near very good. 8 vo., rear hinge split half way starting from the bottom. Occasional stain marks in the form of small dots, all maps in fine condition except 'California' which is creased at bottom quarter inch barely reaching the map. Brown embossed cloth boards with title gilding on front cover, still fairly bold. Covers mildly rubbed, more so to spine folds, head and tail of spine chipped and one inch closed tear to cloth at lower rear spine fold.

Norwalk: The Easton Press, 2010. Limited. Hardcover . Used - fine. 3 volume set. (From the original edition of 1870). Limited Edition, copy 125/400. “Featuring 121 vintage images including the famous portraits by Charles Bird King.” Full maroon leather with spine and covers in gilt, AEG (light scuffing to bottom edge of vol 3).

A copy of Carnegie Hall's 72 season program, including two pages announcing the concert (10-11) with the infamous typo "John McCartney." This was the Beatles' second concert in America, immediately following their inaugural concert in Washington D.C., but the first program produced for a Beatles concert in the states.

Shanghai: The Chinese-American Publishing Company, 1947, 1948, 1941. Hardcover . Used - very good. Large 8vo. Volumes I and II in green buckram. 'Notes' volume, green cloth over yellow papered boards. Inscribed by Col. James W. Mosteller, Jr. to Lt. Commander W.A. Mosteller. (owner inscription?) Volumes 1 and 2, Near Fine, with trivial scuffing and edgewear to forest green textured cloth boards 'Notes' volume with moderate scuffing to covers and mottled green cloth spine. All three volumes with clean text, in sturdy bindings. Very well-preserved with gilt lettering on the Junks volumes almost bright as new.

New York: The Lakeside Press, 1906. Hardcover . Used - very good. 16mo. Dark green cloth, publisher’s device, spine lettering and borders in gilt. TEG (mostly rubbed off), other two edges deckled. Front cover moderately mottled affecting some of the gilt, rear panel with a few tiny white stains overall this is a square, tight copy with clean and unmarked contents.

Association Copy, Charlotte Turner Smith, The Emigrants, William Hayley Autograph, Thomas Campbell Autograph, William Pitt the Younger Autograph. VG. 85pp, plus 3 pages of ads (most recent dated 1810). 'Kent' watermark on first blank, 'G&RT' on title page. (Contemporary?) three-quarter red leather and swirl-patterned boards and endpapers, spine with four gilt-ruled raised bands and five compartments, four compartments with gilt decoration and fifth with gilt lettering. Binding strong, with slight spine lean, small patches of black stain to covers and a tiny nick to the leather at the front spine fold. All gilt is at least VG, and quite attractive married to the red leather. Inscribed by Col. James W. Mosteller, Jr. to Lt. Commander W.A. Mosteller. Volume I Near Fine. Volume II Very Good with upper outside corner of front board creased with corresponding light split to front pastedown. “Notes” volume with moderate scuffing to covers including 5” thin scrape across front board affecting only one letter. All three volumes with clean text and in sturdy bindings. Very well-preserved with gilt lettering on the Junks volumes almost bright as new.

Stanford: Stanford University Press, 1956. Hardcover . Used - very good plus/Very good. 125pp. Second printing. Inscribed. Also laid in is a TLS from the dramatist, Sean O’Casey who has skimmed the book and offers positive feedback to Sweet. Price clipped dust jacket with light water marks to front panel, some rubbing and chips to rear. Text is unmarked and square. Now protected in removable mylar.

Flagstaff: Northland Press, 1975. Hardcover . Used - very good. Small 4to; <b>Limited Edition copy #1 of 150, signed by author and by artist's daughter Eya Fechin Branham. INCLUDES SCULPTURE, 'Carmelita' </b>which lacks it's wooden mount and brass plate. Full black leather covers faintly spotted and smudged in burnt sienna linen slipcase which is slightly faded.
