This series was manufactured by several publishers over the expanse of 38 years. Volume I was published by Corbett, Hoye & Company in 1880; Corbett & Ballenger published volumes II through VIII, 1881 – 1887; Ballenger & Richards published volumes IX – XXXVI, 1888 – 1917; and, lastly, Richards published Volume XXXVII in 1918. Leadville directories were not published for the years 1893 or 1896.
Offered here is a complete run of Leadville directories, as published, 1880 - 1918. {A Leadville directory was published in 1879 by Clark, Root & Co.; however, it is not part of this Corbett to Richards series.}

The idea originated in as Sunflower Day, 1891 - 1892, and over the years evolved into the Colorado Springs Flower Carnival Festival where floats from all over Colorado participated in the parades. THE DENVER & RIO GRANDE RAILWAY, Kokomo Engine, on La Veta Pass, Sangre de Christo Range, COLORADO. Original mammoth-sized albumen photograph on original Denver & Rio Grande Railroad mount. Image: approximately 21 inches by 17 inches. Circa 1882. Strong tones and contrasts, very fine detail; image a shade light. There is some roughness on the yellow borders presumably caused by the removal of on original matting atop the original base matting. This damage includes a slightly roughened area in the upper left-hand border and slightly into the original photograph about the size of a quarter. Damage appears to have been lightly colored.William Henry Jackson was contracted by Board of The Denver & Rio Grande Railroad to photograph images along the route of the railway. This photograph is one of the more dramatic images.

Image: City of Victor rebuilt after devastating 1899 fire. Most all commercial buildings were reconstructed in stone and brick, as was the Gold Coin Mine in the center of Victor. Ajax, Strong, Stratton's Independence, and Portland mines visible on Battle Mountain Hollywood and Goldfield visible in the background, on the foot of Cow Mountain.
