Spine and gold lettering on spine is worn and faded. Including colored portrait frontispiece, 10 colored plates, 7 black and white plates and one folding map at the end. First US edition, large paper issue of 250 copies, numbered 196. The costs for production of the 1926 Seven Pillars meant that T.E. had to produce an abridged edition. Included are several newspaper articles from 1935 about T.E. Lawrence's death placed in book by previous owner.

Book is in very good condition with minor signs of wear to the cover. Dust jacket is in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and a small fold in the inside back cover.

Gold gilt to the top end pages still in good shape. A small amount of shelf wear to the top leather cover edge. Gorgeous plates throughout the book. No markings seen.

Chicago: Institute of General Semantics, 1940. Soft cover. Good. Very rare and unique book. This is the second draft of what would eventually become his bestseller, "Language in Thought and Action." This draft is spiral bound was he used it in his college classes. There are a couple of pages with writing on it. One page is in pencil, one page is in pen and is describing actor/singer Paul Robeson.

There is some light fading moire end papers, a small worn spot to the top of the spine. Appears to have never been read.
