Philip K. Dick, 1981. Loose Leaf. Very Good. Signed. Eleven typed and signed letters from Philip K. Dick to Sandra Lyons, each between one and three pages, some with supplemental material. Lyons and PKD met in the fall of 1981 and had a brief but intense flirtation. Written between October and December of that year, the collection stretches from the beginning to the aftermath of their romantic connection and is comprised of all but one of PKD's letters to her, including three not published in the 'Selected Letters' series from Underwood Books. (The one absent, a letter of October 27, was published in volume six of Selected Letters). The letters are overall of a personal nature, focused on the progression of their romance, but touch on his work and artistic lens throughout. Inquiries welcome. Photographs available upon request.

The history is contained within the first 52 volumes, the bibliography in volume 53, and the index across two volumes (54-55). Edited and annotated by Blair and Robertson, with historical introduction and additional notes by Bourne. A classic work of Philippine history. Originally published during the years 1903-1909, this is the second edition of a limited number (300 sets). This reissue was undertaken by Domingo Abella because so few copies existed in the Philippines after the war. Ex-library with expected stamps to textblock edges and front matter of each volume. W. Paul Cook / The Recluse Press; Arkham House, 1928. First Edition. Very Good. Printed but unpublished in 1928 by W. Paul Cook, this is one of the copies distributed by Arkham House in the 1950s, before the rest of their stock was bound in Arkham's black cloth binding in 1961. Unbound sheets with "Canterbury Laid" watermark and "COPYRIGHT 1928 / By W. PAUL COOK" under Arkham House cancel at copyright page; Currey (C), distributed by Arkham starting ca 1952 with cancel copyright notice containing copyrights for 1936, 1937, 1939, and 1947. Arkham cancel (a) with book and magazine titles in bold (no established priority on cancel notice). Pages uncut. Light toning, slight corner crease throughout top right corner. The fourth signature has sparse, very faint insect damage to margins of back page and attendant minor chipping to the back page's edges. Else fine. A lovely example of a true rarity in Lovecraft collecting.

Translated from the French by Geo. M. Towle. Brown cloth, with titling and illustration in gilt and a richer brown; cloth rubbed, with light general age-soil and small dark stain to rear fore-edge, and light to moderate edgewear including frayed spine tips and fore-edge corners. Gilt page edges. Front inner hinge repaired between FFEP and fly leaf; binding cracked at RFEP; all illustrations present, but the plate at page 251 is loose, laid-in; binding else intact. Gift inscription at FFEP, dated Christmas 1873. Pages lightly toned, and sparsely foxed throughout. Interior text is otherwise clean and unmarked. Housed in a modern custom black cloth slipcase. Slipcased 'Anansi Boys' and an auxiliary hardback 'Notebooks' volume, in wooden box: both letter 'A,' from an intended lettered edition of 52 copies which was never produced in full. Signed by Neil Gaiman and artist Dagmara Matuszak at the limitation page of 'Anansi Boys,' and by Gaiman alone at the limitation page of 'Notebooks.' Anansi Boys's numbered edition was one of the last publications from Peter Schneider's Hill House Publishers before it closed doors, but production never proceeded on the lettered edition. Consequently, this copy is unique, housed in the varnished wooden box created by Schneider himself as a prototype for the lettered edition's slipcase. 1969. Loose Leaf. Very Good. Signed. 1969-1971. An extensive collection of material relevant to the radio show 'Summer Raptures of Ray Bradbury,' which aired April 1971 on CBM Radio 940, Montreal. The show featured adaptations of Bradbury's works and interviews with Bradbury by Canadian broadcaster Don Bell. The archive includes nine typed and signed letters from Bradbury to Bell, scripts of the adaptations, a cassette tape of the radio show, Bradbury's recipe for dandelion wine, and other related ephemera. This copy printed ca 1900, with the final page of advertisements, headed THE LATEST FICTION, featuring works predominantly published in 1899, and Flora Annie Steel's 'Voices in the Night,' published in 1900.
