Fourth book of the Mars series. Bleiler, Science-Fiction: The Early Years 307. Edge of pages are slightly rough, minor yellowing on some pages. Dust cover has several rips and tears along the bottom and top, along with some minor damage to the spine of the cover, but the book itself is in good condition.

Julia Child introduces sixteen of America's talented chefs from different parts of the country and interprets their recipes for the home cook. With the help of more than eighty color photographs we see the chefs at work in home kitchens and we learn the individual techniques that make their signature dishes so delicious -- and so workable.

This vintage volume of Gone With the Wind is from the second printing of the first edition. There is no dust jacket and it remains as a hardcover, original gray cloth. Mitchell's classic was first printed in May and the first two printings are both uncommon and collectible. There is also the inscription of a former owner on the front inside cover. The book is otherwise unmarked.

This is a charming copy of the Jules Verne story that has seen the most translations and widest range of publishers even though it isn't aligned with Verne's usual futuristic/science fiction genre. In the story, Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed French valet Passepartout attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager set by his friends at the Reform Club. This version is translated from French by Geo. M. Towle. It has 54 illustrations as originally issued by Osgood. Although worn, the original blue cloth boards still feature a faded but beautifully designed spine.

This unique and limited edition book is in excellent condition. It is hardcover with a nice dust jacket. The dust jacket has a couple of small tears and is otherwise in mint condition. Several pages in full color, some showing rare collectibles. The names of former owners are inscribed in the front of the book.

No statement of edition/printing--presumed first. Great overall condition. Slight tactile scuff on back dustcover. 235 well-illustrated pages. Slightly larger build than a standard book, notebook/printer paper size.

This is a good copy of this first OZ book with the popular cover. The book, including inside pages, is in solid condition for the age, with only light scuffing and wear, and a light chipping on the illustrated cover pastedown. Of the 16 illustrations, eight are full-page color plates (all fine); the remaining are black and white. The printer's imprint on the copyright page reads "Press of Braunworth & Co. Book Manufacturers Brooklyn, N.Y."

This printing of a rare book is in Good condition. The binding is intact, but the dust jacket is work at the edges, with a small tear on the back. There is no other damage.

This hard to find vintage paperback is in decent but delicate condition and so we usually keep it protected in plastic and that is how it would be mailed to the buyer. However, it is 100% in tact and there are no loose pages or markings. The spine is a little frayed at the top (see picture).

This is a beautiful, colorful copy of the book, with black and white illustrations and eight color "Silly Symphonies" plates bound in. The book itself is in beautiful condition. The dust jacket shows some wear and tear, with some rips and also very old tape repairs. It would be a beautiful addition to any Disney lover's collection.

It has been a controversial book but one that is in nice shape for a collector. The dots have been connected (in pencil) in all of the illustrations. The book is green cloth with a clean, color illustration pasted on the front.

Introduction by Harrison E. Salisbury and Jacket Design by Bob Guisti. Beige cloth, near fine condition except for one small tear at the top. There are also 39 Maps (including 4 folding, 18 double-page) and 78 Plans in perfect condition. This highly detailed and authoritative handbook, includes "comprehensive introduction to the history and features of pre-Soviet domains and the tsarist sphere of influence in China."

Red cloth with yellow paper jacket. With 131 line drawings by Jeanne McLavy. From the Fleming Magic Classics Series. Fourth edition. Good overall condition, only notable damage is slight tearing at the top of the dust jacket along the spine.

This hard-to-find copy is in very good condition, with no rips, tears or folded pages. The cover design, by Barbara McIver, is described as follows: "Abolitionists used statues similar to the one on the cover to indicate to fugitives that their home was a stop on the Underground Railroad."

This book includes a detailed, scientific survey of all fishes in the state of Pennsylvania, including their distribution throughout the state's several watersheds. It features black-and-white illustrations, drawings, photographs and maps. It still has the original illustrated dust jacket although it has some tears at the top and bottom. The book is in otherwise very good condition and includes a signed note from the author.

Written and illustrated by the mother of Humphrey Bogart (who often served as a model for her art), this book was first published in October 1899. While showing signs of age, the book still boasts a beautiful gold leaf art nouveau cover with pink poppies and an illustrated spine. The stories include "What Became of the Angel-Flower" and "The Story of Two Little Lambs."

1st printing. Collects Death: The High Cost of Living (1993) #1-3. Written by Neil Gaman. Art by Chris Bachalo, Mark Buckingham, and Dave McKean. This haunting, poignant tale of Death's day as a mortal eloquently portrays the pain, the confusion, and the sensational joy of living. Hardcover, 104 pages, full color. Great condition, no notable scuffs or damage, only small tear near top left of dust cover on the front.

Black cloth boards with gilt spine titles and lovely colorful front cover illustration of a ship on the sea. Full color pastedown illustration on the front cover. Pictorial endpapers. The title page has color illustration, and is dated MCMXXXVI (1936). The binding is good and tight. The dust jacket is in tact, but torn more than halfway up along the back binding. The pages are clean throughout. Illustrated in color by N.C. Wyeth, with 9 plates. There is a price of $1.50 on the inside flap with ads for other books on the front and back flaps. This is a beautiful vintage copy.
