Lucca: Presso Francesco Bonsignori, 1782. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Mottled sheep original binding, illustration on title page showing two fishermen carrying a boat away from a field being ploughed, the book describes a scheme to drain Lake Sesto, with five fold-out illustrations at the back showing a map of Lake Sesto and the Lucca region, and plans of various canals etc. involved in the scheme.

Venetia: In Venetia appresso Giouan Varisco, e compagni, 1567. Hardcover. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Rebound at a later date, probably 19th century, with a red leather spine, red boards, and marbled end papers, with a little scuffing on the hinges and the top of the spine; internally in fine condition, without any faults apart from a few very small foxing spots on a few of the pages. The title page had a vignette illustration of a double-tailed mermaid within a decorative border.

Original full calf, rubbed and worn, hinges a little weak, internally good. Set of four volumes; Volume One includes frontispiece illustration of the author, poems on several occasions, Rosamund an Opera with an engraving showing a scene from the play, Cato a Tragedy with an engraving showing a scene from the play, The Drummer or the Haunted House a Comedy with an engraving showing a scene from the play, Dialogues upon the Usefulness of Ancient Medals, with illustrations of the medals. Firmly bound decorated cream boards, darkened and rubbed spine, some dust and handling marks, neat gift inscription, internally good, signed by the illustrator Mortimer Menpes.

Number 61 of limited edition of one thousand copies, set of three volumes in large red slipcase. Volume one is a facsimile and map; volume two is an introduction, translation and indexes; volume three is Domesday Book studies. A very large and heavy item, but no extra will be charged for orders within the United Kingdom, however an extra shipping charge may be needed to some overseas countries.

Dust and fluid marks on cover and spine. Small scuffing on the ends of spine. Inner hinges are cracked. Few marks on backs of covers and end papers. Signed inside 'A & C Black'. Firmly bound cream decorated boards.

London: Printed by J. Stephens for A. Bettesworth, J. Hazard, J. Hooke, and R. Ware, 1730. Leather Bound. Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Original full leather binding, corners bumped, front hinge weak, about half an inch of loss of the spine surface from the base and about a quarter of an inch of loss of the spine surface from the top, internally very good with neat inscription of the front free end paper dated 1782, not bound with the Common-Prayers book, 143 numbered pages plus two pages of table of contents and one page of other publications at the back.

Pater-Noster-Row, London: Printed for M. Cooper, 1755. 1st Edition . Leather Bound. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Original leather boards rubbed and worn with bumped corners, spine repaired and covered with modern brown tape, needs to be taken to an expert bookbinder to be rebound because it is very good internally with no tears or damage, foxing is mostly confined to the end papers, a few old names of previous owners are written on one of the blank end paper pages the oldest is dated 1774 and the newest 1860. No publisher's date is printed but the publication was about 1755, frontispiece shows a cameo portrait of Plato, 142 numbered pages plus one advert page for Robert Taylor, bookseller.

South Africa: Macmillan South Africa (Publishers) (Pty) Ltd., 1986. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Firmly bound, navy blue boards. Jacket has a little wear around the top of the spine and on the top corners, also a small mark from a removed price sticker on the spine. Signed on the title page by Margaret M. Smith and Phillip C. Heemstra with short dedication.

Number 705 of a limited edition of 1000 copies in a slipcase with a DVD film about James Bama; "James Bama American Realist", produced, directed and photographed by Paul Jilbert. With signatures inside of James Bama, Brian M. Kane and Paul Jilbert.

Original full leather binding with some rubbing and wear, a little loss to the extreme top and base of the spine, front hinge weak, internally very good.

London: printed for Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme, 1805. Hardcover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Set of four volumes in original full leather binding. Volume one has some damage to the top third of the spine surface which is starting to peel away, volume two has a little wear to the top front corner of the spine and a three inch split on the middle of the back external hinge, volume three has the back edge of the spine completely split causing the whole spine surface to come away, volume four has the top four inches of the spine surface missing. All volumes are firmly bound with mostly clean white pages, internally very good and suitable for rebinding by an expert bookbinder.

Paris: Chez Ant. Aug. Renouard, 1820. Hardcover. Good. 24mo - over 5 - 5¾" tall. Ouevres de Florian; four volumes bound in two, original leather spine and corners, marbled boards, a little rubbed, foxing throughout, frontispiece illustration for each volume, Don Quixote translated into French.

Newhaven, East Sussex: The Bolan Society, 1996. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Limited edition of 500 copies. At least two sets of manuscripts for Pictures of Purple People exist, both dated May 1966. The first is an eight-scene story, handwritten on 27 pages of an exercise book and signed Marc Bolan This exercise book is believed to have been sold through Christies Auctioneers during the early 1980s, after having been split into separate lots. Reprinted here are the second set of manuscripts which were typewritten on fourteen sheets of thin paper, stapled together, and contain two versions of Pictures of Purple People. The first is a twelve scene plot, the second, an extended eight scene version of the plot, reprinted here from a carbon copy. Both of these versions were typed by Mike Pruskin, a freelance publicist who managed Marc between 1965 and 1966. The collection also includes two other pieces from the same period, Electronic Musik and Signs.

Firmly bound original full leather binding, rubbed and worn, heavily worn on the corners, foxing and marks on some pages, title on the spine is Woods's Bible, although I could not find the name Woods as editor inside. The very large and heavy volume may have an extra postage charge for orders outside the United Kingdom.

Original full leather binding, heavily rubbed and worn with loss of the leather surface from the edges and corners, leather surface starting to peel away from the boards, internally good and firmly bound with small, neat inscription on the front free end paper.
