Nicely rebound in similar green cloth, keeping much of the original green cloth on spine and boards. Pictorial pastedown is rubbed and faded. New endpapers. One plate is torn. A few pages have very light marginal soiling. A very stable lovely copy of this hard-to-find first edition.

Thomas Bennet, 1694. First Edition . Full-Leather. Fair/No Jacket. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. The Whole work Compleat to which is Added the Author's Treatise of Nature, and Grace being a Consequence of the Principles contained in the search Translated by T. Taylor Brown leather heavily bumped and rubbed on edges and corners. Spine is remarkably solid with gilt, raised bands and embossed leaves. The book appears that it may have been rebound many years back due to the good condition of the leather on the spine vs. the boards. However there appears to be original endpapers. Bookplate on front pastedown of a J. P. Fallofield. Endpapers and several pages in are chipped on edges. Damp stains on edges. Paper used in preface is different and of higher quality than the remainder of the test. Two pages in the preface are close to being loose. Heavy foxing throughout with some pages being far more affected than others. This is a remarkable book by a man who's books were banned.

(1737-1768) Francis Eudes de Mezeray Volumes 1-3 Three volumes in red leather. Edges are worn, spine have wear. Volume 1 has an old repair on spine. Endpapers have been reinforced. Gilt stamped on boards. All edges gilt. Board edges still have much of the decorative gilt. The pages are bound tightly in each volume.

And, included is a hand-written note from Mr. Rockwell, undated but references it was written on the last day of the Saturday Evening Post (1969). Book is clean throughout. DJ has some overall dust soiling.

Some wear on edges, corners bumped and a little rubbed. Page edges are a slightly age toned. A few pages have a spot or two of foxing. First Edition points: Page 362 "reigned" rather than "reined." Binding State A according to BAL 3402. Free from inscriptions and other personal markings. A very nice copy.
