1873 Hardbound leather with 2 clasps in good working condition. No evidence of previous ownership. Title and decorative art are in Gilt. Moderate wear along the edges, and top & bottom of spine. Back, lower edge of leather is torn. All page edges are in gilt. End papers look like they have been reinforced to the spine with green repair tape. Pages are clean, not torn and the corners are not folded. Sewn-in brown satin ribbon is in very good condition. Place holders for family pictures at the back of the book, which are empty. No ancestral information recorded. Bible is free of names and writing. OVERSIZE. Will require extra postage. Proceeds from the sale of the Bible are donated to our local library. 1944 copyright. FIRST EDITION. Hardbound. Dust jacket has significant tears but covers the whole book. Brown boards with yellow writing are in very good condition. Bottom spine is bumped, otherwise there is little to no wear. Previous owner's name is blacked out on first end paper. Book pages are in very good condition--clean, not torn, and the corners are not folded. Spine is tight. Comes from a nonsmoking collection.

Copyright unclear. Hardbound. No DJ as published. Name of previous owner is on first end page with date December 1882. Then after title page is another signature, same last name, with date of June 1890. Boards are gold cloth covered in numerous gilt designs, including the name "Byron" raised and written in gilt. Byron's last name is also raised on the spine in gilt. Tips of pages all around are gilt. The book is in beautiful condition. The bottom spine is bumped. The first end page, following page with picture of Byron and second end page are loose. The rest of the pages are securely within the book binding. The top and bottom of the spine and the tips of the book ends show mild wear. Some rubbing on the back cover. Nonsmoking. This book was carefully passed down from Grandfather to Grandson who has donated it to our local library where the proceeds of the sale will go.

A Beautiful copy! Copyright 1933/1949. Limited Editions Club. Green slip case has some wear and has been reinforced in some places with tape. Shows minor soiling on the end. 1899, Second Edition copy. No dust cover. Former library books. Boards are black cloth with gilt lettering. Two books: Volumes 1 & 2. V.1 and V. 2 are written on the spine in white. The original gilt lettering of "Mark Twain" on the spine has been blacked out, and "Clemens" has been written in its place in white, most likely by a librarian. (see photos). Some minor wear on the ends and the top & bottom of spine. Bottom of spine is bumped on both. 0.2mm tear to spine on V.2. Otherwise, boards are in very good condition. Top of pages are tipped in gilt, sides and bottom are deckle. Book plate of previous owner in both books. The usual library stickers and card holders are on the inside cover and first end page. SIGNED copy inscriped to the daughter whose father was killed in WWII and who is included in the book. The author was a Chaplin with the U.S. Army Air Forces, 1943-45. The inscription was written July 31, 1947.
