Kind regards, Pete" by author, Mason, on front page following title page. Page also has print block containing second author's signature. He is said to be the model for James Bond. Not well-received by British Intelligence. Book has slight right lean and very light wear on corners and spine ends. Page edges show a few faint spots. Interior bright and clean. Dust jacket is bright with creasing on top of spine and wrinkling of clear finish of spine area.A few minor spots/scratches, barely visible on rear cover. Else clean and solid copy. Dust jacket has prce intact and is bright and crisp with light edge wear, Now in protective cover.

The Texas Baseball League, 1951. Revised Edition . Hardcover. Very Good-/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Inscribed and signed by Allen Russell, president of the Houston Buffs, 1946-1952, on front pasted down paper which also has the bookplate of Morris G. Cook, bookseller. 408 pp. Book has slight right lean. Dark salmon-colored cloth boards have some wear on front hinge, other edges and corners have light bumping. Silver print is lightly worn on front board, and print on spine is dulled. Hinges are slightly loose, and book opens to signature in places. Front free end paper has light smudging. Page edges are darkened, and show a little staining. Bottom of pages 7 and 9 have a 1" closed tear each with light creasing which affects margins only. Page 10 has a stain in left margin which affects text slightly. An occasional page has a little smudging/staining.

Early printing of this magnificent novel by the "Best Western Writer of All Time", as voted by the Western Writers of America.Signed by Kelton on half-title page. A classic tale, as are all his, of ranching, challenges and change. 373 pp. This is a crisp and bright copy with dark golden linen boards. There is very slight edgewear to corners and spine ends. Bottom page edge has light foxing - Clean and tight interior without marking of any kind. Dust jacket is bright with golden background - has price of $6.95 intact but penciled through. Corners have light wear, while spine ends have light creasing and wear. Hinges show slight rubbing wear. Light background of back panel shows a little dark rubbing and some red smears.

Top of front free end paper has half inch tear. Very small label of one-time bookseller on lower inside corner of front paste down paper. Else clean and bright interior. Mylar cover.

Blue-green cloth boards with graphic of trail drive - shows some rippling of cloth and moderate edge wear. Bottom page edge has ink spotting, and forward page edge has darkening on top corner. Book has definite right lean. Last page has small penciled note - may be other notes though none apparent.

Spine has a few very faint spots. Bottom page edge has a tiny faint spot. Dust jacket has price intact. Dust jacket spine is sun-affected (darker than front & back) with edges of the front panel slightly affected as well. Edges show light wear, whilee top edge of spine has light chipping/creasing. Front flap fold has creasing, and cream color of rear panel shows veryminor rubbing/soiling. Now in protective cover.

Armoy Knox of Texas Siftings" And below the inscription is affixed a stamp with Knox's photograph and "Texas Sifting". #201 Jenkins' Basic Texas Books, #2174 Six Guns and #2217, The Rampaging Herd. Book has been professionally repaired with bright gilt type and graphics on front board and on spine. Light spotting and rubbing. Corners are bumped with cloth worn and a little frayed. Tight with slight right lean. End papers are worn on edges and there are a few instances of penciled notes. Interior has a few smudges throughout with an instance or two of tearing.

Light rubbing on edges with 3/4" tear at bottom front hinge. Bottom corners of wrapper and pages have small crease and curl. Rear panel has faint damp staining and top edges of last few pages of book (Index) have light damp staining. Inside of front wrapper has stamp of Anthropology dept. and previous owner's name in ink. Clean text block.

Clipped review column from Fort Worth Star-Telegram is laid in, and remains of original dust jacket, spine and rear panel with flap is also laid in. Reproduction copy of original dust jacket is provided.

A bonus along with this scarce early work of Kelton. 182 pp. Bright, crisp, tight and clean copy with like dust jacket in protective cover.

Tight and sturdy. Title page has staining and edge wear, while rear papers have light smudging and tape repairs. Gilt page edges show light wear on top and forward edges and are worn on bottom page edge.

Chicago: The Lewis Publishing Co., 1888. First Edition . Leather. Poor. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Large format, 9 1/2"W X 12"H. 664 pp. Book is intact with all pages and end papers intact. Front hinge has loosened, and rear hinge is separated from leather of spine, which has worn and cracked places and a piece missing from base, Significant wear on corners and edges with rubbing on boards. Gilt design and print on front board are dulled, as is that on page edges.. Front end papers have some penciled writing, a stamped word, "March", and a few small tears. Both front and rear end papers have foxing and smudging. Pages have occasional foxing, spotting and a few tears. Opens to signature in places due to condition of spine. Once beautiful embossed leather boards with historical contents well worth restoration.
