New York: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1980. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine+/Near Fine+. Signed by Milton and Rose on the title page. A superb, close to new first printing. The only flaw is owner emboss to first two pages.

London: Chatto and Windus, 1962. First British Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Signed by Huxley on the first endpaper. A nice, solid copy that could easily go a grade higher. Jacket has a few tiny closed tears and light stressing at extremities and some minor foxing, mostly to verso.

New York: Doubleday, 1959. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Full page, 13 line inscription to movie producer King Vidor on the first endpaper, dated 1959. First state jacket with $4.95 price. One inch chip missing at foot of spine/rear panel area. A very scarce first edition in great condition with the unique inscription.

New York: Greenwillow, 1983. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Rare title. True first American edition, 1-10 number line. Owner's name and phone number to first endpaper. One top tip barely nudged. Jacket chipped at spine ends with a tiny bit of loss. Two inch slit in jacket at rear joint visible from rear, hardly from front. Tiny chip along top jacket edge.

New York: Simon & Schuster, 1998. First Edition / First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. INSCRIBED by Lewis 'To Newton Brand, keep the faith Best Wishes John Lewis 7-11-98.' In year of publication. Just slight use, there is a minor scratch to top page edge edges.

New York: Atheneum, 1973. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. A superb stated first edition. Jacket spine lettering may be slightly sunned. The problem is the book is upside down in its binding-----put another way, the textblock is mis-bound into the boards upside down.

There are just a few small stains to a few interior pages. The jacket is bright, price clipped, two short creases to front flap. Just a couple of very short tears and light edgewear. A superior copy of this title.

Doubleday, 1987. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine+/Near Fine+. Signed on what I believe is a tipped in leaf that reads as follows: This signed edition of LOOKING FORWARD has been specially produced for friends of the author and the publisher. (signed) George Bush. A very nice copy.

Mrs. A. G. Hildreth and Mrs. A. E. Van Vleck, 1942. Second Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Rare title about the "Founder of Osteopathy." Stated Second Edition 1942. Original copyright 1938. Quite a nicely preserved copy, the jacket has a few small chips and short tears. There is a half inch moisture drop to both the front and rear jacket panels, they do not detract. A former owner has rubberstamped his name twice each to the front and rear endpapers, along with a failed attempt to the fore edge pages.

New York: Crowell, 1971. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. Quite a nice fresh copy. Speck spot on top page edge. There are almost identical 3/8 inch chips missing from the front jacket panel, one at the top joint, and one directly opposite at the bottom tip.

New York: Harpercollins, 1993. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine+/No Jacket (as issued). The signed limited edition, this is #75 of 350. There is a FULL PAGE gift inscription to the first endpaper. The good news is, it is blue ink on a dark blue endpaper, so it does not detract as badly as it could. There is some rubbing to titling on spine. Slipcase is near fine or better.

Probably a review copy or similar advance issue, as there is a taped in slip signed by Jean Karl, Editor of Children's Books, on the dedication page. A very nice copy with steady foxing to top edge, and just light use showing to jacket. Owner name on copyright page.

New York: George Wittenborn, 1958. First Edition/First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Terry Haass. With original tissue dust wrapper. Limited edition numbered 12 and signed by Haass.

New York: Random House, 1960. First Edition/First Printing . Pictorial Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. First printing possesses all points in Younger 'First Editions of Dr. Seuss.' An amazingly bright, tight and nice copy, both book and jacket. It has these small flaws: owner had neatly adhered front and rear jacket flaps to pastedowns with scotch tape, about 1.25 inches. Tape has been removed, remnants remain but do not badly detract. Owner address label removed from first endpaper, under this area is a small neat owner name and phone number. Again, an incredible nearly new-looking copy. This is NOT the extremely rare first issue with the 50 Word Vocabulary sticker glued to book.

Most likely does not look like picture at left. Sharp, tight, looks once gently read. Just slight concavity to spine, usually inevitable with this title. Slight couple of bumps along bottom boards.

London: William Heinemann / Lippincott, 1920. First British Edition . Pictorial Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. Arthur Rackham. As best I can determine, the first British edition. Great book with shelfwear to bottom board edges. Green silhouette endpapers. Tipped in color plate present. The rare jacket is nearly intact, with some fairly minor tape reinforcement to reverse; and the spine, while darkened, is all readable. Fantastic small Heinemann postcard laid in inviting further correspondance for additional titles.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, U.S.A.: Louisiana State Univ Press, 1981. Second Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Nice, tight, original second printing stated, making it a first state jacket. Jacket minutely stressed at some extremities.
