N.p.: N.p., 1981. Seventh Revised Version Draft script for a circa mid-1970s production of the 1967 musical, with a "Peter John Bailey Productions ... New York" stamp and an annotation of copy number 18 on the front wrapper. Two pages, 100 and 101, with intentional text deletion, indicated with affixed blank labels, and five duplicated pages of dialog bound in between pages 100 and 101. Based on Bradbury's 1957 novel, composer William Goldenberg and lyricist Larry Alexander conceived of a musical adaptation in 1967, which was met with enthusiastic approval by Bradbury, who helped develop the show. Originally performed for several performances in April 1967 as part of the Lincoln Center Workshop, Bradbury continued to adjust and amend the musical with new lyrics and score over the next two decades, including a 1988 version scored by composer Jimmy Webb. First broadcast in three parts on NBC on January 27 through 29, 1980 in the US, released theatrically in France. Based on the 1950 novel by Ray Bradbury. A three-episode miniseries which imagines a future world punctuated by catastrophes, wherein humans land on Mars, encounter a race of Martians whom they attempt to colonize, unwittingly begin a global nuclear war on Earth, and ultimately cause the mass devastation of life on both planets. Set on Earth and Mars, shot on location in the US, Spain, and the UK. 8.5 x 10.75 inches. Near Fine.

Signed by Bradbury and Mugnaini on the title page. Eight tiny spots to lower edge of textblock, else very Near Fine in a Near Fine dustjacket, unclipped (priced £1.95 net), with a hint of sunning to the red and yellow spine lettering, and some light wear to extremities. An attractive copy of the author's beloved Halloween classic, in which the characters travel through time to visit Halloween's past. Joseph Anthony Mugnaini (1912-1992) was distinguished Italian-American artist and illustrator, and a close friend and collaborator of Bradbury's since the early 1950's. In our experience, trade editions of their collaborative works signed by both of them are quite uncommon.

Burbank, CA: Walt Disney Pictures, 1981. Revised script for the 1983 film. Written for the screen by Ray Bradbury, based on his 1962 novel. After a carnival comes to Green Town, the good citizens are compelled to follow their deepest desires, caught under the spell of the malevolent Mr. Dark (Jonathan Pryce) who can grant those desires on one condition: that the grantees will forever join his freak show. In 1977, Bradbury sold the film rights to his novel to Paramount. He and director Jack Clayton, whom Bradbury had previously worked with on Moby Dick, produced a completed script. However, production never began and the film was eventually put into turnaround.
