Bound in the Claxton green cloth, decorated in black with gilt spine title. Tips, edges and spine ends are rubbed through. Spine is faded, covers are worn and slightly soiled. Previous owners signature on end page, hinge is stating with webbing showing otherwise clean and unmarked.

Philadelpha: Henry T. Coates & Co.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 7 3/4" tall dark green hardcover with gold pritn on boards. Bumping with light fraying along edges and corners of boards. Rubbing and minor wear to boards. A couple of small areas on the front boards what have a brown substance, almost like a wax. This may be removable with a sharp object. I'll let the new owner of the book do that. Small area on the back board that appears like something was on it and left a white stain. The boards are in Good to Fair condition. A few words in light pencil on the ffep. Pages are mostly tight but book will lay open. Pages are clean/unmarked. 630 pages. One page has been torn on the outside edge and has been taped. The last end page is partially detached and there is a bit of separation along the seam of the end page and back board. The interior pages are really in Fine condition. Covers (orange/brown boards with black and gilt lettering/decoration) show edge wear with rubbing/scuffing and soiling. bumped corners. Spine edge wear. A 3" tear on top rear cover hinge. Hinges cracked but binding still intact. Book has a slight musty smell from basement storage. Definitely show its age but pages still quite legible/readable.; 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed! George Routledge & Sons. Very Good with no dust jacket. N.D.. Later Printing. Hardcover. BEautiful green cloth decorated wit black red and gold titles and designs. Hreads show at both hinges where endpapdrs have separated, but covers are firmly attached. Pages tanning, covers are vibrant but do how modest shelf edge and corner wear. .

Hardcover.  Decorated green boards with gilt still bright on front cover and spine strip, lightly soiled and shelfworn with wear along beveled edges, spine ends and edge points. All page edges gilt.  Internally, end-pages lightly soiled and age-toned with a figure (head) attached to inside front board but otherwise clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures but with the title page slightly age-toned with a smudge at the bottom of page. The binding is tight but slightly cocked, the front hinge is cracked with rear intact.
