This "Classics Club" book club edition with fancy calligraphy at beginnings of versions, and black & white facsimiles from the Bodleian manuscript of Omar Khayyám. Edited, with introduction and glossary by Gordon S. Haight. --- In full greenish-tan linen cloth, with red topstain and titling & decorations in gilt on red cover & spine blocks. Volume bears 1942 date but possibly published c.1960s-70s. --- An about Near Fine copy: bright, tightly-bound and lacking damages worthy of mention.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; (6), 178 pages .

This edition is a facsimile of the 1909 Hodder & Stoughton issuance, with illustrations in color by Edmund Dulac, the French-English artist. --- In full off-white cloth-covered boards with elaborate decorations and titling in gilt to cover and gilt-stamped spine titling. Unpaginated (about 100 pp.). White jacket repeats the cover decorations. --- With inked gift inscription to half title, a little light soiling to cloth, else a tightly-bound, sound copy. Good-only dust jacket with several small tears and curling to edges, but remaining mostly intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; c.100 pp. pages .

Binding is tight and square, pages are very clean with clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. High quality paper, with each page printed upon one side of a double sheet.
