Small quarto, blue cloth decorated in silver, in slipcase, book near fine, with first blank inscribed by Leo Lehman in Christmas greetings 1930 (Lehman was the founder of May-Stern department stores and was an important merchant in Pittsburgh). In very good slipcase, slight rubbing and soil, label dull. Kent's illustrated narrative of a sea voyage from the Labrador coast to Greenland.

With Vilhjalmur Stefansson's bookplate and also bookplate of Dartmouth College Library (and small stamp Discarded by Dartmouth College Library), light stains to top of endpaper. The two were good friends and later collaborated on "Unsolved Mysteries of the Arctic" (1938) with Kent supplying illustrations. An excellent association copy.
