The great Tennessee Williams play that was revived by the American Shakespeare Theatre in 1974 and contains the completely rewritten third act along with other revisions. This production starred Elizabeth Ashley (who is pictured on the front cover) Keir Dullea, Kate Reid and Fred Gwynne. Small name label of Bridget Aschenberg, a playwrights' agent for more than 40 years on the front pastedown, faint browning to the endsheet and pastedown where a newspaper clipping wa laid in. Laid in is a playbill from the 2003 production of the play that starred Ashley Judd. Near fine/fine.

Beautifully illustrated with 100's of richly colored detailed drawings of strange humans, animals, architecture, plants and more along with a text in a beautiful but undeciphered script. Beautifully printed and produced on fine paper. This edition is folio, full cloth binding printed and illustrated in color in the publishers black slipcase. Limited edition of 5000 of which this is numbered 907. There have been several different editions of this special book. There is a ink handwritten inscription on the verso of the front endsheet, otherwise this is a fine copy in a fine slipcase. One of the most beautiful books I've seen and quite scarce especially in this condition.

Taken by the noted photographer mostly known for his photographs of everyday Jewish life. The photographs are accompanied by a selection of nursey rhymes, songs, poems and chants for children's games both in Yiddish and in English translation. Very moving work. Fine/fine.

She was controversial right up to her death at the age of 101. Her ties to Hitler and the Nazi party followed her for her entire life.Very minute rippling to the top edges of the pages, but happily it doesn't mar or take away from the beauty of the photographs.
