Signed by the author on the front end page and the book also includes an information flyer from the studio of the author which also advertises her expedition of prints and paintings of Charleston. DJ is quite sunned on the front and spine and there is a small tear on the lower left edge of the front. Blue cloth boards underneath show some minor spotting but are otherwise in excellent condition. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No other handwriting other than the author's signature, no bookplates, no library markings etc. Both the copyright page in the dust jacket state 4th printing.

Rare signed copy of the 2nd printing (1947). Author's signature on the front end paper. The book, considering the age, is in good condition. Dust jacket has some small tears around the top edge and spine, and is a bit yellowed with age (not too bad). Interior pages are clean and unmarked.
