1943-44. Hardcover. Very Good. Unpaginated sketchbook with 3 b&w and 7 colour illustrations. Most of book not used. Burgundy cloth hardcover has wrinkled cloth. Lieut. C. W. Johnson, R.C.A. signed front free endpaper, and collected these sketches by a variety of artists. At least two views are of Belgium, one of Brugge and one of Antwerpen. An inscription on front page reads "Hier ziet g'het Wapenenden Toren van d'eeuwenoude Scheldestad. Gewettigdrotsch zijnde Sinjaren op dezen onvelprezen Schat." A pencil sketch can be identified as Halsteren, Netherlands. A rear inscription reads "Wie thuis 't geluk niet vinclt, zal het nezgens vinden." A few spots and creases.

Westminster, UK, nd. Very good. 108 paper folders. 23 cm. Each has laid-in colour illustration within. Opposite page identifies illustration and gives date. One has an ink inscription on rear cover. May be a few duplicates. Occasional mark to exterior. Paintings date from 1927 to 1961. Art by E. McKnight Kauffer, Dame Laura Knight, John Farleigh, "Karo," Barnett Freedman, R. B. Talbot Kelly, etc.

Includes illustrations for natural history, people, business and trades, and graphic arts. At rear is bibliography, sources of plates, and index of illustrations.

Toronto: George N. Morang, 1901. Softcover. Very good. [24 p.]. 21 x 26 cm. 14 b&w illlustrations, many black, white, and red. Cream card covers with green and yellow print, tied with white thread. Ribbon torn at top hole. The annual calendars produced by the Toronto Art League are milestones in the history of Canadian graphic arts. Each calendar had a different theme, which in 1901 was Canadian village life. The artists include R. Holmes, F. H. Brigden, C. W. Jefferys, T. Garland Greene, W. W. Alexander, A. H. Howard, W. D. Blatchly, and others. The motto "Non Clamor Sed Amor" means "Not Loudness But Love."

Contains interview with the Awes Studio's Phillip Ross, Michael O'Henly and Michael Bidner, September 1977. Studio was located at 343 Richmond Street, London.

Alfred Joseph Casson (1898 - 1992) joined the Group of Seven in 1926. He is best known for his depictions of landscapes, forests and farms in southern Ontario and for being the youngest member of the Group of Seven. Paul Duval is widely recognized as Canada's foremost art expert and critic.

Corners and spine head bumped, a bit of wear to lower front edge, some stains and scratches to cloth. A little thumbing. Introduction by Maximilien Vox.

1957. Good. 25 x 32 cm. Folding card. Interior features "Old Time Sugaring Party" by artist Adam Sherriff Scott (1887-1980), know for his scenes of life in old Quebec. Card celebrates Rolland Paper Company's 75 years in business. Some wrinkling to folds, small tear bottom front. Also an unsigned illustration on front.

Abstractions was the official exhibition of the Province of Ontario at Mosaicart, a project of the Organizing Committee of the 1976 Olympic Games held in Montreal, 1976. Text in French and English.
