One of 3 000 copies published.This story by a well-known writer Emily Mindlin (1900-1981) is devoted to an old man who come to look at the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station construction, the largest hydroelectric power station on the Dnieper River. First edition in Russian was issued in 1933.The station was built in two stages. DniproHES-1 was originally built between 1927-1932 but was destroyed during WWII to make the river harder for the advancing German forces to cross. It was rebuilt between 1944-1950.Illustrations were created by the Ukrainian illustrator Lev Kaplan (1899-1972). Author's copy. We couldn't trace any copy of this issue in the USA. OCLC locates one copy of this edition in the McGill University Library (Canada).

This satirical map of Europe represented combatant nations by caricatures of dogs and people, which displaying their attitudes towards the War.The is Germany is the Dachshund, Austrian is a Mongrel, Belgium is a little Griffon, France is a large Poodle and Britain is the Bulldog led by a figure in naval uniform. Nicholas II, the last tsar of Russia, shown driving a steamroller accompanied by a Russian bear.
The text was prepared by British humorist author of anthropomorphic dog books Walter Emanuel (1869-915)/ He commented the political situation in Europe in the early stages of Grate War.

Limited to 4 500 copies.IZORAM (Mass Organization of Komsomol Amateurs Art) appeared in 1925 in Leningrad as the Association of Visual Arts Groups for Young Workers to develop a new, avant-garde language of amateur arts and crafts, as amateurs artists used to imitate academic art. Worker's art groups (izoyadra) were led by professional artists which assured the high quality of the amateur IZOTAM productions. The association was disbanded in 1932 after the formation of the Artists Union. This book (the swan song of IZORAM) was prepared by Hungarian-born art critic and one of the members of October art group Ivan Matsa (1893-1974). The monography illustrated with photo of posters and tribune design for the Labor Day rally at Place Square in Leningrad (1931; right part with swastika symbol). These posters were so well designed that people, for the first time in the history, started to collect them and display at exhibitions.
This exhibition displayed English propaganda posters, uniforms of the British Army and military postcards.

[Leningrad], [1932].Extremely rare original photos. The tribune was created by IZORAM artists and devoted to 'Soviets revolutionary struggle against world capitalism'. IZORAM made the design for October celebration in 1931 and Labour Day in Leningrad both in 1931 and 1932. The last design was devoted to the fight of communsit China against imperailist Japan including Shanghai incident. The celebrations were happened on former Palace square, renamed to Uritsky square in 1918.The leader of IZORAM group in Leningrad Moisei Solomonovich Brodsky (1896-1944). He studied at Grekov Odessa Art school and started as cubist.
