Dates recorded range from 1842-1860. 74 pages were used to record the sale of books and paper, items purchased, accounts due, 'Cash Notes', 'Bills to Collect', 'Boston accounts', etc. Dozens of names are recorded. Several blank pages in this ledger. Written on the right front flyleaf - "Memorandum & Commissor (sp.?) Book 1842." The second ledger measures approx. 8" x 6". Brownish marbled paper covered boards with brown leather spine. Edge and shelf wear to the boards. Contents inside are clean. A few pages of records are lightly faded. Dates range from 1858-1862. 116 pages used to record cash paid for goods, and dozens of pages with named accounts. On the right front flyleaf is the inscription "Morrison, Cheney & Co.
