Repaired. An old piece of leather with tiny worm holes has been used to cover the spines and joints. Inner hinges are exposed but the text block is uniform and not loose. Old contemporary ink names and arithmetic written on the blank end sheets and first preface page. Faded letters written in ink on the foredge. Text is tiny and is lightly toned and foxed.

[Philadelphia]: n.p., n.d.. Scrapbook. Fair. Two large scrapbooks mostly filled with Banks College ephemera. The first scrapbook measures approx. 12.25" x 10". 92 pages of the book used for pasted down pictures and information about the College, its President, the classrooms, history of the school, its advantages, etc. These pictures and text pages were neatly removed from brochures and pamphlets. The art deco covers are also pasted down inside. The outer covers are worn, chipped, etc and near detached. The second scrapbook measures approx. 14" x 10". About 163 pages were used for pasted down School forms, post cards, brochures, advertising, etc. Some of the pages in back have related ephemera regarding Pierce College in Philadelphia. Several of the pages are detached, chipped and flaking. The paper used for both scrapbooks is very dry, brittle with numerous tears. Glossy color photographic boards. Contents describe the Conservation easement for landowners. No photographs of individual properties or construction. These are photographs of the land owned by Cabbage Bluff, LLC near Brunswick, Georgia.

Illustrated with black and white photographs of the faculty, students classes, activities, sports, clubs, campus, etc. Scattered light foxing to the contents. Over 60 inscriptions addressed to the previous owner written throughout the yearbook. The previous owner inscription written on the blue right front flyleaf - "Walter Dorsey Alexander 6/22/38." Laid inside the front cover is the a graduation program titled: "36th Annual Commencement Exercises Berry College and The Berry Schools Martha Berry, Founder and Director May 20-23, 1938 Mount Berry, Georgia." Program is 6 pages long and includes a list of the graduating High School Seniors. A photograph of the graduating group in front of a building is laid inside the program. Mount Berry is located just outside Rome, Georgia.

Limited edition of 500 copies this is numbered 16. A former institutional copy with faded numbers on the spine and stamps on the verso of the right front flyleaf, copyright page, bottom of page 202. Many of the illustrations are tipped in with a couple creased, folded at the bottom edge. The title page is toned light brown from contact with the frontispiece tissue guard. This is a novel of the Western frontier and the battle of Little Big Horn with some history added in the Addenda. Howes M 935; Herd 1596.

Covers loose but attached. Toning to the contents. The map has a closed tear on a small fold. The previous owner's inscription written on the front blank end sheet reads, "Jno Aimes New York Col. This obscure history has laid in ephemera including a typed note on the name "Foy" or "Fay"; a typed form letter from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Library - a gift from the "Thomas Woodward Chapter; a letter and envelope addressed to Edward McMaster relating to genealogy; misc. copied documents; a program for "The University South Caroliniana Society Twenty-Third Annual Meeting April 16, 1959; and a typed one page letter from "Judy" at "The State" newspaper along with 10 copied pages of more genealogy. Some brown spots upper edge front cover. This copy includes a typed, copied complimentary letter dated April 23, 1940 from Henry B. Dillard, Director District of Columbia Records Survey. From Henry Dillard, "The correspondence, manuscripts, and various records housed at the Volta Bureau constitute a collection of interest to scientists, scholars, and laymen alike. The archives indexed by the Historical Survey consist of the Bureau's correspondence and relevant source material, and include the "Historical Notes" of Dr. Bell, genealogies, and statistics from 1880 to 1928.
