Herd is short for 'The Big Bull Herd', which was a side degree of the Loyal Order of Moose, still one of America's largest fraternal societies. The Big Bull Herd was established in 1911, and this appears to be one of the original founding documents by the originator, comprising the rules, regulations, and ritual. This copy was created for the #3 in the order, 'Old Pap Bull', and consiststs of 98 typed pages (mainly carbon) jam-packed with elaborate ritual, rules, etc. There are a few pencil corrections.
