The Book Club, London, 1957. 8vo, original cloth in dust jacket. The jacket with loss at base of backstrip and with internal sellotape repairs. A couple of tiny marks on backstrip else the binding very good. Tanning to margins of first 140-pages.

George Routledge, London, 1858. First thus. Published 1858-1860. 3 volumes large 8vo (101/4 x 7 inches), pages: 746; 771; & 816. Strongly bound contemporary half dark green morocco over marbled boards. Spines gilt ruled and gilt lettered direct, all edges gilt. Some scuffing to boards and edges but overall very good and attractive on the shelf.

Printed and Published for the Author by Bradbury & Evans, 1846, First edition, 2nd state ( with three lines instead of two on the Oliver Twist advertisement at end). Engraved frontispiece and extra pictorial title and illustrations. Small 8vo (6 3/4 x 4 1/8 inches), pages: 174:(2, advertisements). Contemporary full tan calf, sides gilt ruled, spine gilt in compartments with burgundu lettering piece, all edges marbled. Armorial bookplate. Scuff to upper cover, plates foxed but largely marginal.

Michel Levy, Paris, 1875. 8vo (7 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches), 264-pages. contemporary half brown calf, spine with letteing piece. Spine now faded to light brown, all edges marbled. Corners scuffed otherwise good.

Macmillan, London, 1878, Frontispiece, tinted pictorial title and plates and illustrations by Randolph Caldecott. 8vo (7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches), 165-pages. Original green cloth pictorially blocked in gilt, all edges gilt. Corners bumped, the gilt a trifle dulled, overall very good.

John Van Voorst, London, 1855. 8vo (8 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches), 306-pages plus advertisements. Contemporary full bevelled grained calf, spine blocked in black and gilt letteed drect, all edges gilt. 4-inch crack to lower joint but holding well.

Contemporary full crimson calf, the boards and spine very elaborately blocked in gilt and gilt lettered direct. Corners rubbed, chipping at headband, overall very good, unusual, and attractive. Armorial bookplate.
