The card spine has been creased but is not cracked; hence our minimal spreading in the second photograph. Some minor signs of edgewear to card covers. Textblock unmarred and unmarked. This is the catalog of the exhibition held at the Krannert Museum of Art at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign from 9 November to 16 December 1990, and at the Met in New York from 25 January to 31 March 1991. The survey covers nearly 2000 years of depictions of the most sacred mountains in Chinese art.

Light foxing to endpapers, with faint creasing at the bottom corner of pages 15-18. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Isherwood's novella based on cabaret singer Jean Ross, republished later in his novel Goodbye Berlin. The character of Bowles would be taken up in other works, including the play and film versions of I Am a Camera (1951 / 1955) and Cabaret (1966 / 1972), and was an influence on other writers' characters, such as Capote's Holly Golightly. Some fading to spine and soiling along edges. Boards a tad bowed and corners bumped. One nick at top of spine and rear bottom edge frayed. Bookseller ticket to rear pastedown. Sturdy in binding. Boards a bit discolored, textblock quite toned and brittle with rather extensive old tape repair throughout, 20th century ownership rubberstamp to front pastedown, occasional contemporary corrections to text of both titles, else a Good or better, quite serviceable copy. Two publications from 1794 by Timothy Dwight (1752-1817), dating from his tenure as headmaster of the Greenfield Academy. Dwight, grandson of Jonathan Edwards, founded the school shortly after his arrival in Greenfield Hill, Fairfield, Connecticut, defying educational norms by admitting both boys and girls, teaching them the same curriculum, and doing away with corporal punishment.
