Descripción:
Two volumes of photographs of Japanese traditional and historic costumes by Ogawa. A complete set. Japanese Costume is like new with the original silk tie. Military Costumes is near fine inside but the silk tie is replaced by a simple white cloth cord. It also has some damage to the edge of the cover. Ogawa was a prolific photographer of Japan at the time. The books were printed in St. Louis Mo. by the Chemigraph process. A type of halftone process. The images are printed on one side of the glossy pages.

Descripción:
Poster on thin glossy paper with old fold at center. Color photo of babies and nurse by Pagano. Fine except for fold. The Institute for American Democracy was a interdenominational group campaigning for tolerance and anti-discrimination active during and after WW2. In 1948 the California Un-american Activities committee listed them as a possible Communist front because of their connection to the Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Somehow encouraging tolerance was considered un American.
