Account of Stuart's fifth and sixth expeditions from Adelaide to the north of Australia in search of new grazing land and a passage across the continent. Issued in pink and yellow wrappers with no priority established between them. The term 'With charts' on the title page is misleading, as only one map was included in the book. Octavo, original printed yellow wrappers, 92 pp, illustrated with [4] double-page chromolithograpic plates, including tiger, wild boar and deer hunting scenes and a native house on stilts; text in Javanese. A very good copy, partly unopened and clean throughout, the margins of the plates with some light foxing or very pale water stains at corners.

Jackson and McLaren, world's champion wood-cutters, felling trees on Lord Salisbury's estate at Hatfield yesterday, the logs to be used in the ring at the Olympia Circus on Friday next.'; both prints are unmounted and in excellent condition. ""The Original Australian Woodcutters"", featuring Harry Jackson and Peter McLaren, were managed by Melburnian impresario Thomas Waddell Dougall.
