Three small stains to foot of front board and another near the title; patches of darkening to the cloth; a small date stamp twice to front free endpaper, once very lightly; otherwise a very good copy.

In the mid-nineteenth century author wrote on poultry etc, mostly under his pseud. Also a cookbook with his wife. Nine page appendix titled 'To cook pigeons and rabbits'. Light discoloration to the cloth of the rear board and not affecting lettering or pictures on front and on spine; otherwise a very good copy.
