July Umpteenth 1917' and its rear wrapper says: 'Cape Times Ltd. Printers, Cape Town', being of pictorial wrappers (that is, paper covers) plus pp. 8 (277 x 211 mm) text triple-column and close-printed. (Price 6d on the front). The original owner has entered at the rear in the space provided for autographs Adam Lindsay Gordon's stanza extolling 'Kindness in another's trouble/Courage in your own', and also the inscription 'To My Dear Sister and Brother and Dear Betty/From Arthur 17/8/17'. Some dog-earing; some marginal clean tears and fraying; has been folded vertically and transversely across the middle; overall good.
