Fifteen loose folio sheets, five of which are drawings, laid into a cloth chemise. Printed by Cleto Arcea in Alburquerque. Slight wear to the chemise covers, internally fine.

Privately published by Concord Academy (for girls) , this is a series of talks on the education of young American women by Headmistress of School, Elizabeth B. Hall. It includes an address that Archibald MacLeish gave the student body. Now, it is most collectible as it was illustrated by Tasha Tudor, and, as it was not commercially published, is rarely found. 8vo, printed paper covers, French-style, 89 pages, with a cover pictorial plus 12 text illustrations, one full page, all others half page. Covers slightly toned around edges, with small loss spine foot and moderate chipping / tearing around edges as is often seen with French-style covers. Uncommon.

Laid-in, folded in four is Colt Press promotional broadside "1943 Christmas gifts for lover of" which then, in a single word, lists the topics or categories of16 titles in double columns, including THE LAST MAN, as the last entry with two other poetry titles. Measures 15 x 12.25", printed in red and black.

Only 75 copies, this numbered 75/75 by designer Moser and signed by him, signed by author Stafford, too and especially inscribed by binder Bourbeau "for a most deserving bibliophile and wonderful friend" all on the colophon. Printed at Moser's Main Street Press in Northhampton MA. Papers are Kitakata & Dover. The type is Eric Gill's Perpetua and binder Bourbeau bound it at his Thistle bindery. Short 8vo, blue-grey marbleized paper over boards, gilt-pressed spine titles, unpaginated, untrimmed leaves. Fine cooy, as new really.

Printed on paper by Kitakata & Dover, set in Eric Gill's Perpetua type. Bound by David Bourbeau at the Thistle Bindery. Design and presswork by Barry Moser. This copy numbered 13/75 by Moser and signed by him, Stafford and Bourbeau on the limitation. With two original, bound in prints by Moser, both signed by him, one lightly creased. Simply and elegantlly bound in blue quarter leather over blue cloth in clamshell box with blue leather label. With an extra print signed by Moser laid-in to the box. Box a wee dusty on the outside, the rest fine.

Paris: Gallimard, 1963. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Very Good. First edition of the first novel by Nobel Prize winner. In 1963 Le Procès-Verbal (The Interrogation) was awarded the Prix Renaudot and was shortlisted for the Prix Goncourt In 2008, Le Clezio recievd the Nobel Prize in Literature for his life's work, as an "author of new departures, poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond and below the reigning civilization". The book is in decent condition. The paper covers are a little soiled, and more noticeably the spine and parts of the rear covers are deeply tanned. There is a small loss at the head of spine, and the internals are toned, as is usually seen. Spine is a wee cocked, but the binding is firm. Had-to-find title in first edition.

Cromelin 12th Field Artillery United States Army Schloss Ahmmemfels Rhein 1918 -1919. Indeed, US news reports of July 30, 1918 list John S. Cromelin of Hackensack NJ as among the seriously wounded in the Battle of Soissons that commenced on July 18, 1918. We can infer from the inscription that Capt. Cromelin stayed on in some capacity in Germany during the occupation that commenced when the Battle concluded in the German defeat in December 1918. Likely a souvenir from Cromelin's recuperation from his war wounds and recovery before returning stateside. Now a fascinating artifact of service to country.
