A touch of soiling to boards and minor rubbing to rear board, with very slightly sunned. Hinges firm and binding tight. Small bookseller labels at lower corners of front and rear pastedowns; pages are bright and clean throughout. Laid in is a clipped inscription mounted to a card, SIGNED BY ILLUSTRATOR JOHN TENNIEL: "Yours very truly, John Tenniel. July 9th 1906." A very attractive early copy of this classic, with the added bonus of Tenniel's rather scarce signature.

An overall beautiful very early printing of this classic, suitable to give as a gift
