Author label to volume one faded, spines slightly faded, slightly rubbed to extremities, head of volume one chipped with small amount of loss. Internally bright and clean, previous owners' book label and shelf mark labels to front pastedown. Engraved frontispieces to each volume. Dibdin II:455, Moss II:645, Brunet V:636, 'bon texte'.
