1910. . Size of picture: 72cm x 27cm. In a dark wooden frame with inner gt.metal border (width of frame: 7 cm) Glass front. In very good condition. Really nice & bright covers. Some very minor foxing. A stunning picture in strong water-colours, in style similar to Cecil Aldin and John Hassall. The scene depicts a post-chaise in front of the "Swann Inn", with grooms attending to the 4 horses, and 6 people (incl.2 soldiers) sitting on the top of the coach. A long village road stretches into the backgound, with several people strolling along, and a horse-cart.
