Here, the author of Paddington has signed the box in black biro 'I REFUSE TO SIGN EACH CARD! Michael Bond'. This set together with one additional card (36 called for). A simple game, with nine sets of 4 cards, each showing the bear in a variety of different poses. The aim of the game is for players to collect sets, and the first to place down two correct sets is the winner. Released concurrently with the BBC series, production of which was completed in 1975. Collins Crime Club. First UK edition published  by Collins Crime Club in 1961. This is a near fine copy. The wrapper and book are both in excellent condition. Both clean with minimal handling wear. Faber & Faber. First UK edition published by Faber & Faber in 1952. This is a very good or better copy. The Barnett Freedman illustrated dust wrapper has a couple of small tears to the corners and mild wear to the spine. It is not price clipped. There is a mark to the back panel but other than that overall bright and clean. The book is excellent with only a patch of browning to the front free end paper and a couple of mild creases to the top right hand corner. Overall a very good or better copy. The first african novel published outside of Africa, it is based on Yuroba Folktales. A classic african novel and rare in this condition. . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1952.

The first volume published is the second in the series : Pax Britannica (1968), the first in the series is : Heavens Command (1973) followed by Farewell the Trumpets (1978). This is a near fine set.  Jan Morris' masterworks - a three volume epic run through of the history of the British Empire including an in depth look at the East India Company and post colonialism. Dennis Dobson. First edition published by Dennis Dobson in 1964. This is a very good or better copy. The jacket has no loss at all and hasn't been price clipped. There is minor wear to the top left hand corner of the front panel. The boards have discolouration to the edges. There is a previous owner's name on the half title page along with faint foxing marks to the side text block. Overall a very good or better copy. It has been signed by BB to the title page without dedication.  A true rarity from 'BB' and is hard to find in collectible condition with the wrapper in commerce. I've not seen a signed copy before. BB carries out several expeditions into the countryside and writes about it here along with providing some lovely illustrations. A very rare book to find signed.  . Very Good. London: Macmillan (1918). 8vo., original blue cloth boards, elaborately ruled and decorated to gilt on upper board and spine with a rose motif by Sturge Moore; with the original dust jacket; pp. [vi], v-94, [ii]; A very good copy. The jacket hasn't been price clipped. Slight bumping to corners and pushing to head and foot of spine. The jacket is creased in places, particularly to inner front flap and edges; spine stained and a little chipped to head and foot, and one small brown spot to lower panel. A fresh copy in the rare original dust wrapper.  One of only 1500 copies printed. By 1917, the poet saw a need to explain his mystical perspective to his readers. Per Amica therefore was written by Yeats in an attempt to rectify this. Collins. First edition published by Collins in 1962. This is a near fine copy. The wrapper has a small chip to the top right hand corner of of the front panel. It is price clipped and there are a small handful of spots to the back panel. Otherwise it is in a clean and crisp condition. The wrapper is a better example than is usually found for this title. The book, in blue cloth is excellent with no foxing, browning or ink. It is a superb copy.  Juster's fantasy tale about a boy called Milo and his journey through a magic tollbooth. It has already been adapted to the big screen but the film made in 1970 was widely panned. A remake has been long mooted and kicked about by Warner Bros. First edition. 8vo., red cloth boards, lettered in light blue to the spine with the publishers logo to the tail, with the original dust jacket; pp. 224; A very good copy, the book has a couple of lightly pushed corner tips. The front and last free end paper has a couple of light tape scorch marks, presumably from an old jacket protector. A publishers book mark is loosely placed at the front of the book. The jacket is sunned to the spine. It hasn't been clipped.  The author considers what he calls inward happiness and refers to this as a modern handbook of contemplation against the hurly burly of life. The jacket hasn't been price clipped. There is wear to the top of the spine and this has been repaired with tape to the reverse of the jacket. The lower edge has a small tear and the remnants of brown tape on the reverse also. Otherwise a clean copy.   The book comes with the original artwork illustrated by B.B. (Denys Watkins-Pitchford). B.B. has created the illustration for the front cover of the book in watercolour and has signed his name to the bottom right of the board. He has glued the title of the book to the top of the board. There are three scuff marks in the middle, which may have been caused by the illustrator gluing the author's name on the board as well, as this is the exact place on the jacket where Fred Kitchen's name sits. Faber & Faber. First edition published by Faber and Faber in 1940. This is a very good or better copy. The wrapper is not price clipped displaying the correct price of 2/6 net. Someone has written their name (from Charles) neatly on the inside flap. The spine is toned. Otherwise there is no loss to the wrapper and it is in presentable condition. The book is also in excellent condition. A couple of pages of foxing to the front and rear otherwise clear. Stephen Spender has inscribed this copy to fellow author Laurie Lee to the title page. He has inscribed "To Laurence Lee inscribed by Stephen Spender". An early collection of poetry from Stephen Spender and very rare to be inscribed to Laurie Lee. Spender was an early supporter of Laurie Lee's work and along with Cyril Connolly his fellow editor at Horizon, they published his poems. A rare literary association.  . Very Good. Author Dennis Wheatley's copy with his elaborate bookplate to the reverse of the upper wrapper. Errata slip in place on the first page. opposite the contents page Noel coward has signed without dedication along with Gladys Calthrop as Hernia Whittlebot. A satirical collection of poetry from Coward about Edith Sitwell. The feud between Coward and the Sitwells initially started over Coward satirising them in a playlet earlier in the year called 'The Swiss Family Whittlebot' and would last for years, with both sides having plenty to say about the other. This copy is particularly rare to find signed by Coward and Gladys Calthrop as Hernia Whittlebot.  .
