A lovely very well preserved copy.

Quarter morocco leather over marbled boards with five raised bands and gilt embossed title to the spine. Brown ribbon page divider still attached. 11 colour maps - most fold-out - all as called for. 31 black-and-white maps in the text and 57 vignettes. Marbled endpapers. From the librairie classique Eugene Belin. A former owner's ink name to the head of the half-title page. The textblock otherwise remains very clean and tight. Some rubbing to the board edges. Some light rubbing to the leather at head and tail of the spine and in one or two other places. Nevertheless, a very good, clean, tight essentially well preserved copy of this the sixth edition.

Type: Z A lovely two volume set bound in quarter red morocco leather and paper covered decorative boards. From the series 'Souvenirs Diplomatiques , Volume I - L'Allemagne and Volume II - L'Italie. Marbled end papers. 5 raised bands to the spine with gilt embossed lettering and small vignettes between the bands. Light fading to the spine. Some streaks of rubbing to the paper covered boards and to the board edges. Small bump to the front edge of the rear board of Volume I and light bumps to all corners. Slight foxing to the fore edges. Clean and tight. A very good copy of this set.

There are numerous illustrations throughout including many colour and b/w plates tipped onto ilustrations pages with tissue guards. Light rubbing to the edges of the leather spine and light bumps to three corners, the fourrth being slightly turned in. The book is fresh and clean. A very well preserved copy.

Red binding string (or for decoration) still present. Over all a very good or very good minus copy of a scarce and sought after title.

A full set of 10 full sized poster sized prints reproduced in beautiful facsimile in 1986 from 'an original set of 16 master copies found in York, England, in 1986. These prints or posters are stunningly reproduced in rich colour and depth. This collection is numbered 147 of 750 and has the accompanying certificate. These posters have been reproduced in wonderful colour. Each plate or poster with loose fitting tissue-guard to protect it. So the full set of 10 plates/posters loosely inserted into a large porfolio bound in half burgundy leatherette (just might be leather) with marbled-paper covered boards. The clip 'tie' is however burgundy leather with brass button. The whole of this housed in original protective card clamshell type box with sunken compartment for the portfolio/book to lay in. Original publisher's red-brown boards with the title stamped in white to the spine and to the front board. Many recipes included. Light bumps to several board corners and to the head and tail of the spine. No inscriptions. The jacket has faded to the spine so that the title is no longer legible. There is a short tear to the head of the front panel that has been expertly repaired. The jacket has not been price-clipped. A very good, clean, tight copy of a rare cook book full of recipes in good only jacket.
