Two vintage pocket booklets, printed by Brown & Bigelow, both issued by Pilot, a big-business freight company for "mad men" executives & accountants: 1 pinup style photography in office setting, 1 cartoons by Lamb. Each is prefaced w/ statement from General Sales Manager, L.R. Nunn. Pilot was founded 1940s (presumed), produced this style of advertising 1950s, & by 1970s was failing; new ownership 1980s, still running to date. Over the years, many advertising items were produced, either as premiums or gifts, including toy trucks, replica police badges, pins, matchbooks, Trucker forums reminisce about the owner, R.Y. Sharp, among other topics. Commercial Graphics of Michigan, 1990. Very Good Plus. Vintage newspaper devoted to the sport of baseball, or "base ball" as it was referred to in the past. Photography, articles, and artwork focusing on baseball as it was played prior to publication, and largely immersed in eras of the sport before 1950. Scarce, even institutionally; maybe 50 issues ever? Good photos and articles, centerfold pages highlight a specific decade's statistics. Included: Vol. 2, Nos. 1, 4, 6 (with subscriber materials). Hersh Freeman, Henry Mathewson, Chuck Hershberger, Lawrence S. Ritter, Charlie Gehringer, Phil Niekro, Jack Chesbro, Len Fiorito, Johnny Sain, Norman L. Vintage Italian crime novel from the Gialli Blu line, set in Florida and New Orleans. Noted exotic dancer Lilly "Cat Girl" Christine behind a red orchid on the front. A few ads for other Edizioni Adriana imprints. Like many Italian publishers, models already widely known in the US, like Betty Brosmer & striptease precedent Lili St. Cyr, were receiving international recognition by way of translated versions of American crime & romance novels featuring their image advertising the book. Models and dancers were "commissioned" for photo shoots seen on paperbacks/dust jackets, many of the images culled from earlier American publications. Very Good Plus; lean, slight roll, light rubbing and foxing.

Mimeo snipes affixed to the verso, one crediting photographer Coburn, publicist Helen Steadman, and studio blurb "with a stop-traffic figure, blonde hair and the role of her career". Moore's been hailed as the queen of B-movies, bleached her hair to compete with Marilyn Monroe, and in the 1950s starred in key films noir, including several directed by Hugo Haas. 13 x 16 inches.
