Plate is derived from Audubon's The Quadrupeds of North America, Vol. 1, 1854. Hand-colored by J. Lawrence. Framed in mahogany with gilt ruling, and window matted with a black mat trim. Still bright and vibrant with only minor toning to paper at edges of window (see image). Frame: 19.25 x 16.25 inches; Window: 8.75 x 6 inches.
