NY: J. Orville Taylor, 1838. Ninth Edition.. Original pink patterned cloth, printed paper spine label. A little worming at front hinge, spine sunned, some foxing and overall wear; a very good copy in general. An easy and expeditious method of acquiring knowledge of derivative words, from a knowledge of their component parts.

Carlisle: Coward, 1910.. Original stiff printed covers, some chipping to edges and wear to hinges; about very good. Laid in is a small leaflet by Jos. Burlington: "At T' Tatie Pot Supper" published in Whitehaven by R. Burlington, (1922). A single leaf, once folded. It prints a poem in the Cumberland dialect.

Stain to upper rear cover, some mottling of cloth, but a fairly bright copy, about very good. Originally published in 1869.

Inner rear hinge cracked, front hinge somewhat loose, moderate overall wear and chipping; about very good. Inscribed by the author on the title page: "With the Author's compliments and respects...".
