Edited by Lord Braybrooke using John Smith's transcription of the original diary. Pepys diary gave historians important insights into the Restoration of the British Monarchy, the Anglo-Dutch war, The Great Plague and the Great Fire of London. Illustrated with 13 engraved plates as called for, no half-titles. An attractive set, some pages foxed, frontis of volume one with some staining.
