Tight deadlines injected the adrenaline. The result is work of the highest standard. This large format book is beautifully printed, and this copy is unread and As New. I wish I could have seen the show at the Ashmolean, but at least one can enjoy this splendid survey, compiled with great sensitivity and inner knowledge by one of the outstanding artists who worked over several years for this publication.
