Represented are writers treating the cultivation, production, preparation and consumption of coffee, as well as its economic, social and cultural significance, its medical and chemical uses as a drug, and much, much more. The compilers have tried to give the maximum amount of information for each entry, including collation when possible. Introduction by Ralph S. Hattox.
