A revised and somewhat censored edition of the Decameron by the Florentine nobleman Leonardo Salviati, who was among the founders of the Accademia della Crusca, originally published in Firenze in 1582. With the bookplate of binders Fletcher and Maude Battershall on the front pastedown endpaper and Fletcher Battershall's signature on front free endpaper. Wear to corner tips, front joint partially split at spine. A very good copy. ; Quarto.
