Mere hint of very light soiling, very light surface wear at spine corners, no fraying. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Previous owner name and date (1929) neatly penned on front free endpaper. Published March, 1929 on copyright page, 377 pages. Dustjacket has publisher's price of $2.50 on front inside flap with two reviews, is clean, uncreased, with very tiny corner chips. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Adapted for the stage in 1934 by Sidney Howard and filmed in 1936 by William Wyler, and the basis for a 1950 British television drama starring Ruth Chatterton and Walter Abel; also a 1995 musical adaptation that was staged in Fort Worth, Texas with Hal Linden and Dee Hoty..

Sinopsis

First published in 1929, Dodsworth tells the story of a well-to-do American couple, Sam and Fran, who move to Europe and learn that they don't have much in common. When the woman becomes involved with another man and falls into the spell of romantic Europe, her husband must choose between forgiving his wife or abandoning the relationship and returning to America alone.
